Review: Went in to be a cosigner on an auto loan. I had good credit with a decent rating. This dealership had my credit report pulled by 14 different banks in one night effectively lowering my credit rating considerably for no reason at all. They did not inform us of this either. I could understand 2-3 banks to get the best rates possible but 14 is ridiculous. We left that dealer and went to another dealer a day later because of the rude and unprofessional service re received from this dealership. The comment from the sales person when told why we were leaving was because of his attitude was "it's been a tough day". I only found out about my credit report being run so many times and my credit rating dropping nearly 20 points from the second dealership we went to.Desired Settlement: I am seeking these 14 hard inquiries be removed from my credit report immediately and not have to wait the two years that it takes for hard inquiries to come off automatically. I would also like a apology from this dealership regarding the issue and something in writing stating it has been resolved.

Response:
I am sorry that we could not come to an agreement in your quest for purchasing a vehicle. Although rare, sometimes we have to use multiple sources to try to get an approval with an acceptable rate for the consumer. Unfortunately, we are unable to remove inquiries made by individual financial institutions when trying to secure financing on your behalf or the co-applicant party.

Response:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
This is an uneceptable answer. Especially since we went to another dealership and was financed for a brand new car with a payment that was lower then the only offer this dealer could get on a used car after sending my information to 14 different institutions. What this dealership did in regards to sending our info to 14 different banks is criminal (especially since the other dealer only had to send it to 2 banks). These inquiries never should have been on my credit history. Now they are stuck there dragging down my credit rating for 2 years because of this dealerships unethical practices.
Regards,
Review: The following is the summary of my issue:5/12/2013 - I traded in my 2013 Ford Explorer for a 2013 GMC Arcadia at Hardin Buick GMC (Anaheim, CA)6/4/2013 - Hardin Buick GMC made a check payable to Cerritos Ford, CA6/17/2013 - I incurred a late payment charge on Ford Credit7/9/2013 - I incurred a late payment charge on Ford Credit7/9/2013 - Ford load paid offHardin Buick GMC - [redacted], Anaheim, CA 92806Cerritos Ford - [redacted], Cerritos, CA 90703This situation has negatively affected my wife's and my credit immensely, since we were both on the Ford lease and is causing us a great deal of hardship.Hardin GMC claim: We were ready to pay Cerritos Ford a check back on 5/17/13. We were not able to cut a check to Cerritos Ford until 6/4/13 because their clerk would not return our phone calls. (We call to confirm the payoff amount and the correct name and address of who to send it to). After several calls, someone in the Cerritos Ford business office did return our call and confirmed the amount. Cerritos Ford should have received the check within 2-3 days, or by 6/7/13. It appears that Cerritos Ford did not pay off your account until 7/9/13.When I called Cerritos Ford, they said they were not responsible for this and it was the responsibility of Hardin GMC. I further tried to contact multiple individuals from Cerritos Ford (7/30/2013) by email and NO ONE, up-to-date has bothered to respond. In the meantime, I kept receiving Toll Road Tickets in my name with the Ford Explorer, even after I had handed the vehicle over to Hardin GMC. These tickets amounted to $609, within the period of 6/3/2013 to 7/20/2013. Very irresponsible behavior on the part of Hardin GMC. I had to clear my name for all of these before I got into further trouble.Thereafter I contacted Ford Credit and requested them to resolve this issue. They said they would. However, it has not yet cleared with Equifax and TransUnion, and it has been well over 5 months now, and our credit reports still have the negative reports. It has been very frustrating for my wife and I since we get bounced from both parties. Even recently we wanted to purchase another vehicle but could not due to the poor credit. None of the 2 dealerships have claimed responsibility for this.I have all the documents and correspondences if necessary.Desired Settlement: I want both the dealerships to fix my wifes and my credit reports, by every means possible. In addition, since they have caused me a great deal of hardship, I would like to know how they would reimburse me for all the trouble they have caused us. They have not made any attempt thus far.
