Happy Hatter Homes

On December 16, 2017, I gave a deposit and prorated rent for the following month to Happy Hatter Homes to lease a property with the option to purchase at the end of the lease. They took my money but never had me sign anything. After two weeks of asking for a lease, I was sent a lease stating that I would accept the house as is (with no inspection), I would be responsible for all maintenance and responsible for the property taxes while I was leasing the home. Of coarse I refused to sign the lease. I told them I wanted my full refund. I was told it would be overnighted. Then I was told that it would be mailed to me on January 2, 2018. It was not. I was then told I would have a refund check on Monday January 18, 2018. I have now been told that they will not send me a check. They have also eluded to the fact that would deduct money for fees for having to re-lease the house. I never signed any thing giving them any right to deduct anything. We never signed any kind of paperwork or agreement. I have proof that they never took the house off the market. I also have proof they have accused me of harassment and slander, which is false. They are holding my deposit in bad faith. I have made every attempt to collect my money from them, to no avail.
