This was clearly an unintentional clerical error as 1)the actual MSRP for this
vehicle, a Honda Fit LX is $17,and 2)the MSRP is established by the manufacturer and is not a number that can be changed by the dealerFurther, the AutoTrader posting that was forwarded to us by the customer showed the incorrect MSRP but listed no selling price
Immediately upon discovery of this error the website posting was corrected and as required, signs were put up conspicuously throughout the dealership notifying the public and apologizing for this error (copy attached)
While common sense would lead any consumer to recognize this as an error, the dealership acted quickly to correct the error and did nothing to indicate that the posting was an attempt to offer the car at that price
