There has been a housekeeping fee and a carpet cleaning fee charge sent to me in a letter which I shouldn't have received.
I'm complaining about the property of ***. The are trying to charge me a housekeeping fee of $75 when I have left the apartment very clean. They are saying the inside of the A/C unit door was dirty. There A/C unit has been broken the for about two weeks at the end of our lease with a constantly temp at 90 degrees. No one came to fix it even after calling the emergency maintenance number countless of times. When a maintenance guy did come he kept saying it is fix when it wasn't fix because the temp kept increasing. So I moved a few days early because of the issue he not been resolved. They are also trying to charge a $50 carpet cleaning fee because we didn't provide a receipt of having the carpet clean. The carpet is brand new in that apartment with no stain or anything on the carpet. They are trying to say that is listed in my lease and it is not because I read through my lease and I have a copy of the lease. So I shouldn't be charge with anything.
The company needs to take off the housekeeping fee and the carpet cleaning fee.
Huntley Apartment office manager changed locks on tenants apartment before lease was up without permission. Incident was recorded.
With my lease ending on June 30th, my son and I were in process of moving the remainder of our
furniture from unit ***. When we arrived at the apartment I discovered that the lock on my
apartment had been changed.
My son and I waited patiently in the lobby for assistance while *** and another employee met in an office. I informed the unknown employee about the issue and she proceeded to locate *** at which point *** proceeds to explain that since I shut off the power to the unit that I would forgo the
right to live in the apartment. *** also stated that I placed the power back into the name of the apartment which was also untrue. Next I informed *** that I needed to get the keys to the apartment to collect the remainder of my belongings and I would like to receive my $975 rent money along with any deposit money that I am owed due to her unlawful lock out and for her dishonesty. *** then presents me with a bill for the amount of $3.41 due on June 15, 2018. My spouse
disconnected the power before the end of the lease period however we were unaware that this was an problem. *** did not give me notice that this should be done until June 15th.
After collecting my valuables and returning to the office to return the new key and to ask for my rent money returned. ***, Dino (the maintenance man) along with the new employee are in the room. *** then informs me that I could have the apartment back but I would need to put the power back in my name. At this point I am extremely upset so my son and I leave.
I have video of all conversations as well as lease documentations and picture of the apartment before and after is lived there.
I would like for 1 months rent including any deposit monies owed.
sorry company
