Review: They said they would grow my hair. But my hair fell out more than ever. On November 25, 2012 I went to the Hair Club located at [redacted] to see what services they had to offer. I was seen by [redacted], who told me they were in the business of growing hair. He said within 6 months I would be able to see hair growth at a cost of about $2500. I was optimistic by this claim. But it did not work out like he said! Within 2 visits, less than 30 days (Oct 26 & Nov 19, 2012) I visited Hair Club my hair began coming out, breaking off and my scalp burned using their serum. I told the hair stylist they assigned to me about this on November 19th and she said to use it every other day instead of every day. That was not the best advice. My hair continued to fall out. I stopped using their product (EXT kit). I have not touched the second round of EXT products given on November 19th. I have called and wrote Hair Club requesting to be released from the signed agreement they made up for their interest only. [redacted], Hair Clubs receptionist, told me to call [redacted] (the payment company Hair Club deals with) because they would be the ones to determine if I could get out of the agreement. He gave me [redacted] phone number ([redacted]) and the Dispute Representative at [redacted] credit Dealer, said Hair Club has the authority to cancel the agreement and they would abide by it. However [redacted] said that was not true and called me a liar. I can't believe Hair Club doesn't know how their own credit service works or that I am the first one to have this issue. In writing, I explained how devastated I am by the horrible results I received and how my confidence level plummeted. It was not explained fully to me that choosing the payment option through [redacted], I agreed to pay $2500 in full regardless. [redacted] said I would be held responsible for the full amount because I started the program and used Hair Club's outside payment option -[redacted] instead of using Hair Club's in house payment method. This was never mentioned either by [redacted] or in the agreement. Their alternative services are either hair sewn into my scalp or a toupee. In which I never agree to. I asked for a reasonable buyout arrangement but [redacted] hung up on me. I think I am being very fair especially since Hair Club did not provide nor perform their agreement to grow hair. I have not received any further response from Hair Club and continue being billed the full $2500. Now I just want out.
My account number is [redacted]Desired Settlement: I am still being billed for the entire $2500. I should not be held responsible to pay for service and product I have not used nor want to continue. I asked for an agreed payout amount or be excused all together. Especially since I am seeing and paying a dermatologist about this matter.

Response:
Good Afternoon [redacted],
I will not inflame
the "story" further although [redacted] is not entitled to a full
refund contracturally or otherwise. In the best interests of our
company's reputation, we applied a full refund to [redacted]
account on 4/30/2013 and the company has taken a loss financially.
Sincerly,
[redacted] Phialdelphia Hair Club Managing Director
Consumer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Thanks to Action News and their involvement.
