My client came in to the salon stating that she had cut her hair herself and that I needed to fix it. She stated the right side was choppy and uneven. I trimmed the bottom and blended her layers as she wanted. As for the color when she came...
in she had lighter warm/coppery ends and an ashy base. She said she wanted to go with an all over color. I asked if she was sure because her color was nicely ombred and asked if she would just like to warm and darken her base a bit and leave the ends lighter for summer. She said yes but can we throw some blonde on the ends to freshen it up. I said yes. I foiled, colored and cut her. I blew dried and brush styled her as I do all my clients. I spent hours on her hair. She paid and left a $10 tip. I received a message at the salon that one of the other girls listened to and was told to call her. I returned her call and she had no voicemail box set up. I texted her from my personal phone. Stated that I tried calling but her voicemail wasnt set up yet. She replied that she wanted to apologize for the rude voicemail she left. Then went on on how she was not pampered. Her money was a waste and she could have done it herself at home. She then stated she would like at least half the money refunded. I told her I was more than happy to fix it for her and they we don't do cash refunds. She states there was no sign stating no cash refunds. I told her if she had any questions she could contact the owner. I don't make the rules that I just enforce them. I also stated that if she called around to other salons that she would be told the same thing. They will not give cash refunds but will redo or fix the service at no additional cost. She stated plenty of salons give refunds and it was a waste of her money to get her hair done.if she didn't like it. I stated I am sorry you feel that way if you would like to talk to the owner she will be in wed-fri. I said I would redo your service for free. I then contacted 5 of the nearest salons and talked to girls that I knew that did hair and they all stated they do not post no refund signs, but also DO NOT give refunds but are will to fix the service for free. I was then told by a friend she posted on facebook that she posted a picture and stated she had cut her own hair after my service and didn't like it either.
