This company was instructed to call and set up an "appointment" for delivery meaning 24 hours and they failed to do so not once, but twice!
I purchased equipment from a company who apparently does business with multiple parties and does not tell customers that! I find out that a third party delivers equipment and they were instructed to call to schedule an appointment time! This company does not do that and the first time I missed the call and the second time they called they were thirty minutes away from my business and I live an hour away! How am I supposed to get to my delivery if I live an hour away and the delivery driver is calling for the second time with an eta of fourteen minutes? Because this company screwed up the first time and didn't scheduled an appointment for the first time, I have to pay the plumber again and have my business backed up because this company is not doing what they are supposed to do and does not want to take responsibility for their actions!
This company hands down needs to be be billed for the plumber to have to come out here because of their mulitple mistakes!
This shipment was not an appointment delivery the paperwork clearly stated that the consignee be called before delivery. This terminology is CBD and the receiver has confused this with CFA call for appointment. Had this shipment been notated to call for an appointment, we would have done just that as we receive up to 40 call for appointment shipments per day. We did as we were instructed and as the paperwork dictated us to do.
When our driver arrived for the 1st attempt to deliver her shipment, my driver called and was advised that she was sleeping and could not receive her freight. This was listed as a business shipment and we called prior to delivery for this 1st attempt. We should not be held accountable for a business not being open during regular business hours.
Once we received the approval for re-delivery, we called and set an appointment with the customer ***. Since this shipment was already attempted with a call before delivery we made sure to go the extra step and actually set an appointment date and window to get this shipment delivered to the customer. This delivery appointment was set for Mon 8/26 between 11a-3p. *** called our office the morning of 8/26, to ensure that we were still on for the delivery appointment between 11a-3p and to make sure that the driver had her mother's telephone number, so he could call her on his way. My driver did just that and had no issues with the final delivery of this shipment.
I ordered item FREE DELIVERY by Jan on Amazon.com Instead, the item was never delivered as promised and I was asked to pay the delivery fee
Do Not ever use this company Your items would never be delivered I have ordered an item online that offered a very convenient free delivery I got a call from Scott at Gulf Coast Transportation that HE IS NOT GOING TO DELIVER my item and I need to pick it up by the dock WOW! I refused
SCOTT INSISTED FOR ME TO PICK UP THE ITEM IN PERSON AT THE DOCKS! WOW!
REASON # 1: I was told that Scott IS NOT GOING TO DELIVER because he can't find my home on the map!! I noted, the home is located about miles from the center of downtown, the city of about 62,in population and the home being there for over years!! It is not like we are talking about in the middle of no whereMY RESPONSE: I was at work and took my valuable time from work to direct him to MAPQUEST and guided him street by streetand he said: "ho yeah, there it i

SCOTT INSISTED FOR ME TO PICK UP THE ITEM IN PERSON AT THE DOCKS! WOW!
REASON # 1: I was told that Scott IS NOT GOING TO DELIVER because he can't find my home on the map!! I noted, the home is located about 2 miles from the center of downtown, the city of about 62,000 in population and the home being there for over 50 years!! It is not like we are talking about in the middle of no where. MY RESPONSE: I was at work and took my valuable time from work to direct him to MAPQUEST and guided him street by street... and he said: "ho yeah, there it is!"
REASON # 2: But in response, Scott said that he is NOT GOING DELIVER because he just MapQuested and it looks like the street is too narrow with trees on the sides.
MY RESPONSE: I was shocked, for all my furniture, the appliances, the washer, the dryer (Here, we are are talking about big trucks!!), the kind size bed and the mattress were delivered to my doors, as well as the the garbage trucks had no issue to drive. He said he will not deliver because he does not know how other deliver company are do it, he is not going to! WOW
I insisted again, offering the suggestion of Dolly.
REASON #3: He said that he needs a signature.
MY RESPONSE: I said OK, I am at work and here what we can do. A.) May I sign a paper and leave my signature at the door? He said yes. I DID! Then B.) I asked him to call me about 10 min before he arrives so I could possible drive up (missing my work) to assist him.... I kindly asked if that would be assertable. He said yes.
I got home on the delivery date, the note was gone but the item was not left... I called office, then I was told that apparently, I was supposed to write on the signed paper that I authorize it. Scott never told me that, Furthermore, I was the one who was suggesting to leave my signature at the door. This time I was recording and asked WHAT EXACTLY NEED TO BE DONE SO THE ITEM WOULD BE DELIVERED! I was told of I want them to deliver I need to pay the delivery fee.... I asked to speak to the owner. It was refused... I called after hours, leaving VM for the owner, he had never called back...My sofa never arrived on time when it was needed. It never arrived
Since I spend funds to purchase the item which never arrived, I would like them to pay what I spend so I could purchase another item Sofa: $688.99 Sofa Furniture Plan Protection $24.32 Total: $713.31 The item must have arrived by Jan 22, it was very important for the delivery to be on time for it resulted in another issue, more sentimental. P.S. See Google reviews. The owner Bill E. posting 5 star reviews to his own company

The shipment for this consignee was received at our location on January 16th. An appointment call to schedule the delivery was placed to her on January 17 and a message was left. She returned our call at a time of her choosing and indeed we were not able to initially locate her address on Google maps as the address is recorded differently than how it was sent out by the shipper. A fact she was aware of and has apparently explained before.
Once her location was brought up Google it showed a dead end street with much vegetation and low branches(please feel free to look this address up). Everyone in transportation knows safety first. Freight companies are not putting there large equipment down roads that would cause damage to property or equipment. She was told that we would attempted the delivery but if the driver could not safely get to her location we would call her and she may have to do a dock pick up. But again she was told IF we could not safely get to her location and that we would attempt it first.
Her next issue was that she could not take the time to meet up with a driver to receive the shipment that she ordered. As a delivery company we do require a signature on items being delivered. As she would not be able to meet a driver she was told that she can leave a note on her door with her signature on it authorizing us to deliver her items without her being present. She would need to sign it, date it, and state that we could do so.
Instead of doing that she left a note that says:
The reason I purchased this item is because it offered
1) FREE DELIVERY
20 Convenience
I will not purchase it and will return the item to a seller & amazon & will write exactly why I did.
(Please see attachment)
As this is not an authorization to leave items and in fact it is regarded as a refusal / return to shipper, the driver did not leave her packages.
This was of course reported to the forwarding company and the shipper in which they both agreed that the packages could not be left with this note.
Of course later that day she called here in a complete fit and we told her that we cannot leave the freight with that note, it reads as a return to shipper, and we would now need authorization from the shipper to re-deliver the freight to her address.
The forwarder of this freight and the shipper did email us on 1/23 at 4:54pm and authorized the re-delivery of the items to her without her being present and releasing us of any liability. They additionally asked for the driver to call 30 minutes prior. We replied stating we would re-deliver the items on 1/25 between 9am and noon and that the driver would call 30 minutes prior.
The freight indeed did go out for delivery on 1/25, the driver did call and left a voicemail message for her on the delivery(she didn't answer), the items were left at her door, and the driver took pictures of the items at her home as he was leaving.
The fact is the woman receiving this is foreign and has a very heavy accent so it is hard to known if she understands everything. Secondly she tends to talk over people instead of listening causing further issues. Had she done what she was initially instructed to do she would have received her items on 1/18 as originally scheduled.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The woman with the heavy accent went to UCLA. I was talked down and humiliated by a male chauvinist. Yes, I stood up for myself and it was reported as so called "fit"
The stuff knowingly and negligently did not inform to leave any note or signature. I have suggested leaving the signature.
The package was in fact delivered, so the road was not narrow after all?
Most importantly, when the owner of the business lives the only 1 out of 2 five start reviews for his own business, while every other customer leaves 1 start, it is very alarming. The integrity and ethics shall be questioned.

Again regardless of the education received by this consignee, the basic instructions to have the delivery left at the home with the initial appointment were not followed. Standing up for ones self is one thing. This person plainly chose not to listen to what needed to be done to make the delivery happen and decided to do their own thing.
The driver could not indeed fit down the narrow dead end road and had to hand dolly the cartons to her residence. As she was not there she would not have known this.
Finally we deliver over 100 shipments a day, Monday thru Friday. Regarding Google Reviews they do not allow for a reply to a negative post which is why you have to create a review and reference the post. This is what companies have to do in order to voice their response and opinion to Google reviews. Only 5 negative reviews and at least 3, including from this person are mostly due to the receivers own doing. And from looking at them 2 of the reviews seem like they stem from the same person or a friend thereof, which is this individual.
In conclusion this shipment did deliver to the consignee. The shipper, third party, and forwarder of the freight absolved us of all liability due to the consignees lack of following direction. There is nothing further to be resolved.
