We had used Al previously when our old 80% efficiency furnace was beyond repair and time to replaceAnd quite honestly we had NO reason to be disappointed in workmanship or cost, thus no hesitancy in calling on him againHowever recently (right after Christmas ) we had issues with our furnace or moreover the thermostatA day or two ago DecAl came out and installed a new thermostat @ the cost of $($for the "AprilAire" brand thermostat alone!!!!) Well today we had him back ( 01/02/) because our the thermostat he installed was for a Heat Pump....which meant every other time it cycled...it was blowing out AC cold airHe replaced it ( the AprilAire ) stat with a Honeywell FocusPro programmable unit which can be purchased for under $@ any big box storeI even asked before him before his leaving if the two units were The Same Price....he said yesI'm saddened to think that giving a customer a deserved refund for cost difference apparently isn't as important as pocketing a little extra $$$ AND risking the LOSS of an otherwise satisfied customerI

However recently (right after Christmas ) we had issues with our furnace or moreover the thermostat. A day or two ago Dec. 30 Al came out and installed a new thermostat @ the cost of $218.00 ($150.00 for the "AprilAire" brand thermostat alone!!!!) Well today we had him back ( 01/02/2016 ) because our the thermostat he installed was for a Heat Pump....which meant every other time it cycled...it was blowing out AC cold air. He replaced it ( the AprilAire ) stat with a Honeywell FocusPro programmable unit which can be purchased for under $60 @ any big box store. I even asked before him before his leaving if the two units were The Same Price....he said yes. I'm saddened to think that giving a customer a deserved refund for cost difference apparently isn't as important as pocketing a little extra $$$ AND risking the LOSS of an otherwise satisfied customer.
