Review: In the spring of 2013, I requested an estimate for spring clean up work. The job was to include: clean up, mulching of flower beds, grass seed to small damaged area of yard and mowing. [redacted] came (after delay due to scheduling error on receptionist's part), and walked the yard with me and we agreed on a price of "$350, definitely no more than $400". There was a big delay between the estimate and the initiation of work. When the workers did come, they did the clean up, seeding and mowing, but not the mulching. I called and they came out a second time to finish the work. Shortly there after I received two invoices (even though they were supposed to be one job) totally ~$550!! I called Grove Gardens and spoke to [redacted] multiple times (at least 4) last summer. Each time I explained my complaint, and she would take a message saying that [redacted] would call me back. I never got a call back, and eventually stopped calling. In spring of this year, I received a call from [redacted] that they were seeking payment on those invoices. I again explained the situation. I expressed my willingness to pay for the services rendered, but only within the agreed upon price range. She again told me [redacted] would call me. Today, May 30, 2014, [redacted] called again looking for payment, with no recollection or record of our previous conversations. I told her I would happily write a check today for $350-400, but would not pay the total asked for on the invoices. She said [redacted] would call me back.Desired Settlement: I would like to pay for the services rendered at the agreed upon price.
