customer a quote for $200 assuming the water heater would need (1) 50A circuit. The water heater actually needed (3) 50A circuits, requiring the customer to update their electrical panel. The customer was given an estimate of $1750 to change out the electrical panel, making the total quote $1950. The billing was sent out by our billing department in the amount of $2242.27 on 03/30/15 without knowledge of the estimate amount. Grotberg then received the customers check for $1750 with a letter enclosed on 04/27/15. Grotberg tried reaching out to the customer by phone multiple times without success and was unable to leave a message due to a full voicemail box. The customer's current balance of $492.27 shows that no interest or finance charges have been posted to his account. Grotberg Electric will credit the customer's account $492.27 bringing his balance owed to zero. Direct contact with the customer would have solved the billing overage.
