Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I stopped reading through his response about halfway throughFirst of all, the codes officer was contacting MrGrimes due to safety issuesThe insulation that he discussed - he ripped out of my basement to stuff into the holeMrGrimes attended *** schooling in order to have a key to turn on the gas; but failed to follow their safety protocolI contacted *** and "INSISTED" on a safety inspectionThey have never seen anything like this type installationHe punched through my block wall (cracking the block) and did not sleeve the pipeThe steps were a year old and there was no discussion with him that it was "okay"The tank removal was in the contract and there was no mention regarding material in the tankHowever, I can tell you that the only oil that MAY have been left in the tank was slight/residualHis work was poor qualityThere are safety issues
Dear *** ***:On 10/19/I did install a new gas boiler - *** for *** ***. It is in fact the make and model mentioned. I'm not sure where she gets ***. It was *** on front of unit. There was a slite problem with error codes at first, it was a
water pressure problem and it was corrected. The unit ran fine the entire winter and spring - (to the best of my knowledge) for she never contacted me with any complaints. The wholes in the wall near vent pipe is from the old oil tank fill + vent. It was not in my contract to repair wholes previously there but I did pack them with insulation + patch siding with a piece she provided me. The steps in question are old 2xsteps in an outside *** enterence and I brought the chips to her attention at the time and her response was "don't worry about it." The fuel tank was supposed to be cleaned out - We had to climb over table saws, equipment, wood and other materials to run gas line and the whole around gas pipe was sealed. The collar + ground wire was an oversite - in the rush to get heat + hot water up and running. The unit condensate drain has built in trap from factory - it can not put methane gas into house. The claim that codes has tried to reach me is a lie, for I work with code department on regular basis on other properties. Finally if *** *** would have called me, I would have been more than happy to fix any problems. I have been in business for years any have many refferences, and have never had unhappy customers. Respectfully, Philip G
