Griffith industries sales person contracted with me to install flooring. After the flooring was installed I contacted the company about the problems with the installation and was told that if I wanted recourse I would have to pay a additional fee. The floors were not level and per there installation agreement they would level the floors before installation. That did not happen. Also because of the material there should have been underlayment but this also was not installed. I would like to have a resolution without having to pay additional money for the job I contracted for.

We spoke with you several times and offered multiple resolutions for you while we were on site at the time of the install. You refused to have us fix the floors because you said that you would not pay us for the work. Later that day (day of the install) you had a very long and drawn out phone call with Steve where you demanded that we do the work for free. Because we would not do the work for free, we had no choice but to complete the job per your original order (request). Like we have offered many times. We are willing to fix your floors as you have requested...however we do not work for free and it not right for you to yell at our employees because we refused to do the additional work for free. Per our email exchange, our offer still stands and if you would like us to do the additional work that you are requesting, then you will have to pay for the additional work.

I had Griffith Industries put new carpet in my condo. *** on April 17th 2018. the carpet is defective with 3 holes in them. size of a dime.
I called Steve P and told him I will not accept defective carpet. he told me they have "LIFE TIME WARRANTY" on installation. I text him & emailed to his companies email that I will not accept defective carpet! he ignored me and and said they will "PATCH IT UP". he ignored me, I called Griffith ind. customer service 3 time. emailed his manager.. send the email to company email also. [email protected].
Steve emailed me & offered 10% off on $1470.98. I told him "NO" I said he need to replace the carpet or I will pay $1200.00 call it good. or have home Depot do the job and send them the bill. the carpet was not "PATCHED" like Steve said. They use a glue gun to fill in the holes!!! I have the photo the carpenter discarded in my trash.
Steve send me a nasty email said I berated his carpenter because I asked him to leave. of course I asked him to leave. he or they are not doing what I am going to pay for! and wants payment promptly. I cannot reason with unreasonable person or company who does not care and abuse their customers. I am forced to take whatever they give me!
I send out the check full of $1470.98. it was cashed today.
Emailed Dustin Z who is Steve P's manager, of course with no results.

You ordered for carpet to be installed at your condo at *** on 4/17. We showed and completed the install on 4/17. Afterwards, you found three small punctures in the carpet. We scheduled a warranty repair to be completed on 4/20. While the installer was trying to complete the repair on 4/20, you berated him and told him to leave. I convinced him to go back to complete the repair and you again sent him away before he could complete the repair. After this I spoke with you and explained that the installer needs to be left alone (not to be harassed) while doing the repair and that he would not work with you looking over his shoulder and criticizing him. You agreed. On 4/23 we sent a different installer out to complete the repair. Again you refused to leave the unit while the installer was working. When he was finished with the repair, the installer walked through the unit with you and you agreed the repair was done to your satisfaction. We consider this flooring install complete and we will not be engaging in any further communication on the matter. We will also not send anymore installers to your property due to your frequent use of aggressive and racially discriminatory language.

I am rejecting get this response because:

First of all, when I hired this company to replace my carpet I expected to have carpet installed without holes in it. I shouldn’t have to accept a flawed carpet or subpar work.

This condo is a rental so I expect high traffic. How long will three dime size patches wear without coming apart? When the carpet was installed the installer never mentioned the defects, I went to my unit and I noticed. I felt that they were very deceptive. When I called they offered to patch the holes which I felt wasn’t a good idea. I needed the project completed, so I could rent the unit, so I agreeded, reluctantly. I had very little faith in this companies work so I felt I needed to be there while they were attempting to fix it. I still can’t believe that new carpet needed to be fixed. I wanted to stay in my unit to see what is going on with patching, but I was told that I needed to leave. He wouldn’t work if I was there which I didn’t agree with, it’s my property and I had hired them to put new carpet in my unit,and the bill was paid in full. I completed my part of the transaction.

The salesperson offered 10% off, but I wanted it fixed. They should have replaced the flawed section, but I agreed to the patching. I didn’t agree to be verbally abused, and told to leave my property. This company has treated my very poorly. I would never recommend them to anyone. I was the one being abused.
