Landladies are rude and discriminatory, if you have a reasonable complaint they will threaten you to "put in your notice and move out". Refused to grant my reasonable accommodation multiple times, forcing me (a single mother & full time student) and my 2 year old to move out and file a HUD complaint against them. They made up a lie that I said something very disrespectful to them, and gave me a no-cause notice to move out when I just called them rude for threatening me and my baby to put in my notice if I did not like their rent increase, which was double that of my neighbors.
