I am writing you into [redacted] . I spoke to the family that wanted to pay out of pocket for an electric lift, that we do not carry Electric Patient lifts for the insurance, as we only carry standard lifts. Explained to the family all special orders are non returnable. There was only one... lift that we carry, the owner of the company went over everything for the lift and explained to the family what it was all about. She gave everything to me over the phone. The owner placed the order. I put the charge thru the credit card and again told the family it was a special order. At that time she was ok. The order came in, as the owner of the company delivered the patient lift and an extra sling, the nurse was there at the time as well. They loved the lift and said it was a blessing! As I explained as well the documents on our web site also give the RETURN POLICY And the guide lines. When the family called I explain it was a special order, But The manager also advised we could do a restock fee of 25% of the cost of the lift! The family hung up the phone on the manager and we have not heard from the family. Everything has been documented in our computer system and on the files.
