Green Lightning Laundry

Back in October, I found it necessary to use a local laundromat to wash a large bedspread. I had never used it before and, at first, it looked like a decent, clean facility. Well, looks can be deceiving!
After finally finding one machine that wasn’t out of order and $25+ later, I was able to get the wash started. When the load finished about 20 minutes later, I was disappointed to find that it was not clean and needed to wash it again. Since I didn’t have enough $ on my laundry card, I needed to break a $20 bill to add some to the card. Well, surprise, surprise...the bill dispensing machine did not have enough change, and so I got nothing back from the machine! It had literally stolen my money! Ok, I’d had enough of this place and called the phone number listed on the wall. I won’t go into detail but I just got bs from the guy on the phone. No one was in the place to help, half the machines were “out of order”, all restroom doors were locked shut, and there wasn’t even a paper towel in this place!
I have attempted to contact the business owners several times during October until now with more run-around and no results, so, if nothing else, I want to inform others in Florence that this facility, Green Lightning Laundry, is probably not some place you want to do business.

Would not recommend this facility. Cards are used instead of using change in machines. The problem: I Was cheated out of 7.00I spent $30 for the card. After using 2 washers and 2 dryers there should have been $13.00 left on the card however there was only $6.51. The worker said she would contact boss. 1 week later no resolution. There were many machines out of order also

The green lightning laundry mat had the power turned off, due to not paying power bill (that's what the manager told us) while a dozen customers had their laundry in the washer and dryer's. We were told it would be resolved in about 20 to 30 minutes. After an hour, I called the owner to find out what the status was and he proceeded to tell me he couldn't do anything it was out of his hands and I told him it was bad business practice to have the electricity turned off at his place of business. He said it had only been 47 minutes (in a demeaning attitude as if this problem was my fault) and then told me I could go ahead and write the bank check for $1 million and he would handover the keys and the business. I told him "Wow! I see I am talking with an *** He started yelling and I hung up. He then called me back and left a message telling me that I could take my clothes out of the dryer and that if I didn't leave he would have me removed from the premises and cited for trespassing. Instead of apologizing and trying to help in anyway possible, he took his problems out on me, the customer. The manager was super kind and respectful, the owner was awful. They also would not refund my money.
I am on vacation and leaving town tomorrow and had 6 loads worth of laundry to dry for 8 people and had to find another solution with no other laundry mats nearby. Wasted half a day of our vacation dealing with this issue.
