Review: Great Western towed my vehicle using improper techniques clearly outlined in user manual and as stated by me at the time of towing. The driver ignored my warnings and thus caused nearly $3300 worth of damage to my car. After getting statements from 2 different individuals showing that the vehicle was in their care and not damaged prior ([redacted]) the owner of Great Western refused to provide me his insurance info & ignored my calls. I had to take him to small claims court for the $3300 in damages & work days missed.Desired Settlement: I would like for the owner to refund the money I had to pay to have the damaged repaired.

Re: Case # [redacted] - [redacted]
The vehicle was recovered from Mr. [redacted] on 09/24/2014. At the time of recovery Mr. [redacted] stated that this
vehicle was damaged the last time it was recovered. Due to these statements extra care was taken in the
transport of his vehicle.
It was released to a towing company on 09/30/2014 and transported to a auction facility in Fontana, Ca. At
the time of release, this vehicle was operational and had no major damage to it. Both the towing/transport
company and auction report that this vehicle was in running condition with only minor damage. Proper
towing methods were used and no damage was done by Great Western Recovery. We do not know what
happened to the vehicle after it left our possession.
Mr. [redacted]s claims have not been consistent. Nor have we ever been in litigation with him as reported in his
complaint. He admits that the people he received statements from had not seen the vehicle for some time
before the recovery. They would have no knowledge of the vehicle history or condition between service and
recovery.
At the time of release the vehicle was eleven years old. The mileage reported was 215,709. Although
requested, Mr. [redacted] has failed to provide any estimates, repair orders, receipts or evidence that shows the
vehicle was ever even damaged.
Due to the inconsistent statements, the amount of time the vehicle was in a third and fourth party possession
and the absence of any evidence of damage or negligence by Great Western Recovery, This claim was
denied and the file was closed.
