REFUND ON WARRANTY
I've been waiting refund on my warranty since January 2024. I suppose to received this refund within 6wks that finance manager (M.A) told me in January 2024. It's August 2024 still haven't received nor heard from gray daniels chev. I even went there couple of times to see dem in person since january 2024, and that finance manager (M.A.) would say "I turned in the paper works" or "I will look into it" and "will call you back", which he havent done that either not at all! Ive been doing business with gray daniels for long time, but not any more.! I hoped this will never happen to their families or their loved one, what they doing to me, making me wait this long, I'm sure they wouldn't like it!

I purchased a used vehicle from Gray Daniels Toyota that, after ten days, ended $2,000 of repairs done to it, things that should have been done before the car went on the lot for sale. I threatened litigation and car was replaced. I tried to trade in but the title is trapped after already having procured a Mississippi license plate.

I purchased a used vehicle in addition to an extended warranty in March of 2018 from Gray Daniels Toyota. I cancelled the extended warranty in accordance with the contract on Feb. 20, 2019. Clearly stated in the contract, the customer will be refunded a pro-rated amount upon cancellation. In this case, the contract was for $1,762.00. The warranty company, *** has issued a letter of contract cancellation and listing the refund amount as 77.95% less a $50.00 cancellation fee. According to the warranty provider, the selling dealership is responsible for contract refunds. I have made numerous phone calls and left several messages with management and accounting in an attempt to contact Gray Daniels personnel regarding this matter. I have not received a single return call, email, or any monetary refund. I made these attempts over a two week period after giving the dealership several weeks to process the refund. It is apparent the dealership is unwilling to help, therefore I must start filing complaints. I will continue to do so until the full refund is issued. This type of business practice is very unethical and misleads the customer. The contract states they must issue the refund. I hope the dealership corrects this issue and provides better customer service. Otherwise after this experience, I would not recommend doing business at this dealership. At the time of purchase, the finance manager stated the contract can be cancelled at any time with a refund. I had to cancel through the warranty company due to Gray Daniels not sending the cancellation form as I requested. Now I am unable to get the refund it seems. Buyer beware.

Gray Daniels Auto Family Response • Apr 02, 2019

Thank you for the opportunity to look into this situation. First, let me apologize on behalf of our dealership for the lack of communication, we had a cancellation form but it was missing a signature. This has been corrected and the refund check is being expedited today. The check will go to the lien holder which is listed at Toyota Motor Credit. We will reach out to the customer today to provide more details.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. This is however, contingent upon the refund being submitted.

Regards

Traded my 2014 Honda Odyssey on May 12, 2018 for a Used Nissan Pathfinder. On May 14, 2018 the brakes started making an awful sound. Took it back on Tuesday, they had car until Thursday May 17. I picked it up on the 17th about 4:30. That night I was leaving the high school and when I cranked the car a big cloud of white/gray smoke came out of muffler. I took it back the next day, Friday, May 18. As of the next Tuesday, no one had contacted me about the car. I called and was told it was taken over to the Nissan store to be evaluated by a certified Nissan tech and they would call me "tomorrow". Tomorrow came and no one called by 2p.m. I took upon my self to call the Nissan place directly. I inquired about my car and the Service manager replied w/ "mam, no one has called you yet about this car?" My reply," this doesn't sound good". He replied "no mam, its not" . To make this story short, I was put in a rental car for 3 weeks going back and forth with salesmen and used car manager. I was told they were looking for a Pathfinder same as the one I traded my van for. My van had been on the used car lot for 3 weeks with a sticker in it. By the "almost" 4th week I finally had enough and told them I wanted my van back. They had it ready for me when I got there. I asked them what I needed to do about picking up my car note with Bank Of American. They said they should've paid it off. It wasn't! My vehicle, van, had been sitting on lot with sale sticker in it. I was told they would contact BOA and deal with this and would call me. Again, no call. I had to text salesmen. Of course, got they are working on it. Finally I called BOA and was told no record of them dealing with Gray Daniels about my situation. In the mean time, my van loan was 30 passed due. Which by the time I contacted is more like 2 payments behind. I was told the credit bureau had been notified about my missed payments. I again contacted Gray Daniels on Friday, June 15. Was told they would look into and talk with a few people and call me back by the afternoon. NO CALL yet as of Monday, June 18, 2018. My credit is messed up because of Gray Daniels. They do not communicate with the customers, especially the ones that have been more than patient with the issue above. I do not feel as I needed to "baby sit" them to do their job. I did feel, at first, they were working for me. however, since no attempt for them to reach out to me and help me with fixing a problem that someone behind the scenes failed at their job to do, Im doing all the work. This has been a big ordeal. I was at their facility at least once a week. Very STRESSFUL. The main problem I have is no one paid my vehicle off and now I'm 2 months behind on this. AGAIN, no communication with them. But, in the time they could've paid the van off, it was sitting on lot w/ sticker in it. The customer, who didn't ask for any of this is the one getting hurt, not them. I work hard to keep credit decent and it takes one bad mark to hurt it.

wish it was possible to give a zero star review.
Used car department, title clerk, and GM.
I paid extra for an expedited title. it wasn't expedited.
My title paperwork was submitted without a correct copy of the title application, and the title clerk sent in the WRONG title attached to my incorret paperwork.
I did get the issue resolved after speaking with the state directly and trying to get the dealership to buy back my vehicle. they made no effort to correct their mistakes nor did they apologize for any of the dishonest lines they threw out when I went to them to them directly to try and get the situation fixed. I received a letter from the Dept. of Revenue claiming there were VIN# discrepancies with my title and the dealership did not seem to care at all. Brushed the whole thing off. I even went as far as contacting *** Auto. Group to try and get some help resolving the issue, only to be contacted by the extremely rude GM who told me he refused to help me and told me I was out of options, unless I wanted to trade it back in for less than I paid for it.
I was advised at the state title office that there would be some sort of mark of attachment to my title since the dealership signed it to the wrong deal with power of attorney ....the dealership supposedly had my title corrected and printed the next day with no attachments or derogatory mark. Will never be sure how they managed that...... dealership takes no blame for their mistakes and even blamed me for buying a vehicle "that was intended to be wholesale only". All this for a mistake they made handling my title work.

I had trouble with both my driver and passenger doors locking with my key fob. I took it to the dealership and was told it would cost over $1,000 to fix it. Since my child is in college I decided I could do it manually. My husband looked on *** and for $21.42 from *** and a couple of hours in the garage they work perfectly. I can understand the markup to make money but this was over the top.

I drove over 3 hours to purchase my vehicle from Gray-Daniels Toyota on 5/24/2016. While there, I purchased an extended warranty, which I was told would cover various components and parts of the vehicle that aren't typically covered in Toyota's "standard warranty" or even with a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, which this is. The extra warranty added an additional $1,233.00 to the total cost of the vehicle. Since this purchase, I've taken my car to my local dealership numerous times and they have never seen the extended warranty on my car's details or history on any of their Toyota screens. I've spoken with people at my local dealership as well as with a representative at Toyota of America and was told to contact the dealership. I've called the dealership multiple times over the year, leaving messages for both the financial officer who wrote the contract and the general manager and have received nothing in response. I even contacted their online sales counselor through their website, got an email from him saying he'd have the manager call me - nothing. When I contacted Toyota of America, they reached out to Gray-Daniels, and again, I never received contact from them. As I am over 3 hours away, I cannot do anything more than call, and without ever having a response in over a year, this is beyond ridiculous. Since they refuse to contact me to resolve the problem, I wish for a full refund for the amount of $1,233.00 and a letter stating that such has been refunded so that I can send it to my bank who holds the loan. I've been paying for something that I don't even have and after a year of trying to contact the dealership, a refund is the least they can do at this time.
