Review: I took my 2001 Dodge Intrepid in to grandd auto repair for them to replace the water pump. They called me within 2 days and said it was fixed and ready for me to come get it. I picked it up and got home and found it still had a water leek. As I drove it for the next couple months I saw myself adding more and more water daily.I took it back to Grandd auto repair and they said it was now the thermostat housing leaking and it would be $300.00 to fix. I then towed it down to Fresno to have a machanic change the thermostat housing there and when he started looking at the car more he stated that the water pump had never been changed . After pulling the car apart and replacing the thermostat housing and water outlet housing it was leaking still out of the weeping holes in the water pump. The machanic also told me that it was an 8 to 12 hour job to change the water pump and would cost me around 800.00 to 1200.00 dollors to repair. Grandd Auto Repair charged me 165.00 for the water pump and 285.00 for labor only. I knew then it was never fixed and found myself paying for the job to get done right again. It has cost me over 2200.00 dollors to have the problem fixed which should of been done right the first time.Desired Settlement: Well It has cost me $450.00 from GRANDD AUTO REPAIR which never was fixed, $200.00 to have it towed to Fresno to have another machanic look at it. I had the thermostat housing replaced because GRANDD AUTO REPAIR said it was bad which was $ 120.00 and labor. It has made me take unnessasary time off work due to the issues with having GRANDD AUTO REPAIR not fix the water pump from the start.
