Review: I have spent over $30,000. to upgrade my 2010 Camaro per JR's(owner)suggestions and EVERY single time I've had to return it to his shop within a few hours for him to repair what they screwed up. I have numerous emails that document the all the problems I've had over the last few years and now the oil pressure is low while just driving around town and I spent over $1,300. at a garage and it isn't repaired due to it being an internal engine problem. Granatelli just rebuilt the entire engine to a preformance race engine. It only has one race under it's belt. Now he says I have to take him to court.Desired Settlement: Reimburse me the $1,300. I spent to try and repair his mistake. And fix my car properly as he promised.
Business
Response:
Every effort has been made to work with the consumer. Granatelli has never been given a chance to inspect the vehicle and by the consumer own admission he does not know what is wrong with his car. The mechanic that charged him the claimed $1300 also spoke with Granatelli and he indicated he does not know what is wrong either. Granatelli never told the consumer to sue. The consumer threatened to sue Granatelli without giving Granatelli the opportunity to inspect the vehicle. Granatelli indicated they can't help if no one know what the problem is.
Business
Response:
Sadly we
have had to apply for a restraining order. The consumer continues to call and harass us as
well as stalk us on the web all the while threatening physical bodily harm to
us and our customers. Again, the consumer asked Granatelli to repair his already broken engine when he first came to us
June of 2012. It is disingenuous to
claim Granatelli Motor Sports should have been able for foresee future problems
he “may have experienced”. Furthermore
this RACE engine work was performed June 2012, 12 months ago. Granatelli extended the olive branch to the consumer by offering to inspect his vehicle for free. He asked what it would cost to fix and we told
him without a visual inspections there was no way to properly ascertain an
accurate repair cost. It was the consumer’s
speculation that it could be as much as $5000 not Granatelli’s

I am rejecting this response because:
Mr. Granatelli is a complusive liar and has been so for most of the time he has worked on my car.
He comes up with what ever lie he can to try and pass the blame on to someone else or look better to others.
All of his comments are false.
1. I have never been told or heard of this so called "restraining order"
2. My engine was NEVER broken. It had NO and I repeat NO issues when I brought it to him for performance upgrades. I have numerous emails to prove this !
3. I also have numerous emails stating all the problems I have experienced with his shop and asking him to correct them, after he did work on my car.
4. He never offered to inspect my motor for free, his first email to me was to sue him, again I have this email.
5. It was NOT my speculation on the cost for the repair, how would I know what he would charge. I also have a shop that Granatelli was in contact with that charged me $1,300. to try and repair the issue with no luck so that $5,000 number came from Granatelli himself when he told me he believes what the problem was most likely, a turned cam bearing ?? He even admitted to me they should have put a pin through it while they had the motor apart doing all the upgrades the first time. Now because of his mistake he wants to charge me another $5,000 on top of the $30,000+ I already paid him. I don't think so.
6. No one has stalked Granatelli online. I belong to a Camaro website where there are forums to discuss everything from racing to experiences you have at preformance shops. I simply posted the TRUTH about my experiences with his shop and numerous people commented they had the same experience with his shady business dealings and crappy parts (their words not mine). Then because Mr. Granatelli is Banned from posting on the site (he's had these issues before on many forums from what I've been told) he called his buddy's to fight for him and one poster was so off the wall the moderator and others believe it was Mr. Granatelli himself posing as someone else. Again this is a public forum that anyone can see and verify for themselves what I am saying.
In closing Mr. Granatelli in my personal experiences and opinion is a liar and shady businessman that once he has all your money in his pocket doen't care about standing behind his work and parts.
