This is a follow up to my review dated 8/15/23. I did received a call from GP today, 8/22/23, and received the all of the information I needed! As I stated before, the tutoring set up and delivery were outstanding, and now I do know that this company does want to give its clients and payers of the services the best customer service possible. Thank you, GP (Cindy) for the most informative call. I look forward to either my grandson or other grandchildren being able to utilize this very effective tutoring service. K Haltom
Grade Potential has been an excellent resource for our family for the last few years We have used their network of tutors for two of our children and could not be happier! We called them originally for our oldest son taking Geometry in High SchoolHe had always been a great student, even in math, but as many parents know geometry can be a different animal Anyway, the rep who took care of us was extremely helpful and courteous Within a day or so we had an amazing tutor over working with our son It was great because not only did his grades improve but getting through homework each night was far less of an ordealThat was probably as much, if not more valuable to our family than the better grades! Anyway, we were so pleased a while ago that we called them again this time for our daughter who could use some improvement with her reading and reading comprehension We have just as happy this time around which is why I felt Grade Potential deserved a little recognition in the form of this reviewAs far as we are concerned they are for and our daughter has really developed a connection with her tutor and is making progress For anyone that is considering hiring a tutor I highly recommend giving Grade Potential a call, good luck!
I have used the company for 7 months. I was happy with the tutor but am no longer in need of the services. I called to cancel but they keep talking about a contract that I didn’t sign. Then asking me to pay a balance of like 700$, which I am not paying. I want to be disconnected from this company. I enjoyed the tutor but not the company.
My experience with this company was not the bestI was very disappointed the ending resultswhen I signed up for the service I was told that there would be a refundable depositnot a problem I was given a set amount that I would have to pay monthly and was told if I decided that I no longer wanted to continue that would be fineI used the services for about a month or so and decided to put it on the back burner for a while I asked if there was any thing else that needed to be done and was told no
A week or so later I noticed that I had random charges on my card I called and asked why and the representative told me it was a mistake and she would make notes in the computer so that it could be put back on my card days passed and I noticed that there was no credit, I called back and spoke with someone different and he stated that the rep I spoke with before made a mistake in what she told me and there would be no creditbefore the end of that day I got a call from the prior rep and she said that she noticed I have a final bill that needs to be paid and when would I like to pay it I made arrangements for the end of the month since this was a unplanned bill she agreed and said ok this was on a FridayOn Monday I checked my bank statement and noticed that there had been an unauthorized charge on my cardI called and explained the situation and the conversation led to a lot of back and fourththen she had the nerve to ask me again when do I think I can make the payment, at this point it no longer mattered because they had already went against the first agreementSo I decided to call the main office to see if I could get to the bottom of thiswhen I called it was brought to my attention that some information may have been left out on their endSomehow they failed to mention that if you decide to no longer do the program you still have to pay for a service that you are not getting and expected for me to agree to this( I think not) The rep explained how all the conversations were recorded and he would have someone to call me back I waited days and no call backagain no contract was signed nor was there any agreement that I would pay thousands of dollars for something I no longer have a use for this was for sure defined as FRAUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please be careful if this is a service you decide to use
** * As stated by the BusinessThanks for sending this over to me. I called the Customer but she did not answer. Either way I
refunded her card for the $and the receipt for that is attached. Obviously I am sad to learn she had a poor experience with or company and so I am refunding her. I do not however agree with her assertions as we can clearly see in our system that our tutor came to her house on October 10th, and on October 13th she told is that they liked our tutor and she worked well with her family. So I am not sure where the confusions came fromEither way, if she isn’t happy we will just refund her as we did already. Her or you can feel free to call and ask for me with any questions, thanks!

I was in dire need of a tutor and prior to signing up, was assured by two different people within the company that tutors were available in my area. I was told I would get a call on Friday from a tutor. I didn't receive a call, so on Monday I called and was told they were having a tough time locating a tutor due to my narrow schedule. I was told I would have an update on Thursday, but that she would call me Wednesday with an update instead. On Wednesday a man called me and told me that they didn't have anyone in my area and were actively trying to recruit someone. When I asked why I was told by two separate people that they had tutors in my area if it wasn't true, he stated that they can't see where tutors are until they put me into the system. If it can't be seen, it shouldn't be assured. He told me I would get an update the following Monday. Monday came and went with no call. I received a call on Tuesday from one of the two women I had spoken with originally and she said the closest tutor to me was 56 miles away and that he wasn't accepting new clients. I was straight out lied to and my time completely wasted. If they had been honest from the beginning, I would have had help 2 weeks ago with another company. Not very good business practice.

I am sorry that this person misunderstood the way our discounted packages of hours work. I went back to our recorded voice authorization (since she called in...
her credit card) to ensure there was no mistake. We offer discounted blocks of tutoring hours if our clients commit to certain amounts of hours just like buying anything else in bulk, and we explain that we don’t offer refunds on bulk discounted hours.
Regardless, I am happy to refund her unused portion of hours in this case for any misunderstanding. She also does appear to incorrectly remember her sessions and pricing since our non-discounted rate is $64 per hour (not $60) and she used 4.25 hours with her tutor named Nathan and an hour with her tutor named Seth. So that is 5.25 hours at $64 for a total of $336. She paid $648 so I am happy to refund $312 today.
If she has any questions I am more than happy to email the recorded authorization for the charge and terms of hours. On the recording she actually had asked us to bill her in installments as opposed to all at once, which is our normal practice, and as a courtesy we agreed.
Either way I hope she and her son enjoyed working with our tutors, thanks!

I am trying to reach a decision maker in the Seattle location because we have been doing recruiting for academic coaches & tutors for awhile now and we have a pretty good book of candidates I want to share. Would the Founder & CEO be able to tell me who to speak with in the Seattle area? Thank you!

My daughter was quoted a certain price and let with tutor yesterday for a free introduction, today she was sent a package and when she stated she couldn't afford the rates they told her she would be charged $400. She is 18 and newly on her own with nothing signed. Any help would be appreciated
This company has underhanded practices. They avoid my questions. My grand daughter was getting tutoring from them. There were extreme financial changes and the service could not be afforded any longer. We were told the balance of 446 had to be paid. Then they charged my credit card for the monthly amount of 328 even though we canceled. I will dispute the charges but this business is not trustworthy.
Review: Grade Potential processed an unauthorized transaction on my credit card. Never once did they inform me about the charge prior or after it was taken place. The tutor that was sent to the home for a trial session lied about the time she was there for and also was also unauthorized for the time of stay. They are a highly over priced business inwhich I chose to decline services.Desired Settlement: The settlement that I would like to have, is $71.00 given back.

Review: I contacted Grade Potential and my son began tutoring services August 2014. I purchased a package deal with the understanding that any unused hours would be refunded if my son got to where he needed to be and the additional hours were not needed. I even researched Grade Potential and listened the testimonials where people stated their child got it after so many hours and Grade Potential was very customer service focused and refunded unused hours. I contacted Grade Potential at the number listed for the Greater Phoenix Office and spoke with [redacted]. I explained to [redacted] that my son was on the right track and on the honor roll so he would not be needing services any longer and I wanted to know how to get a refund on the unused hours. [redacted] told me that they do not refund unused hours and that the hours never expire, I told her my son is going away to college so this service would no longer even be an option for him. She continued to tell me they don't refund and I told her that was not explained to me and did I sign something saying that. She told me no, my verbal was authorization of that. I have 7 1/4 hours unused and my son is going to college in Jackson, MS and he is my only child so there is not another child that can use the services. That equates to $60 an hour totaling $420 that Grade Potential is trying to keep of my money. I would have never purchased a package with the understanding I had to use or loose the hours.Desired Settlement: I want Grade Potential to honor its promise to provide customer service and refund me my money back for the 7 1/4 unused hours as my son is graduating and going to Jackson, MS for college and the services are not offered in that state.

Review: my son had one tutoring session and we were very pleased with the tutor. The issue is that we had paid for 3 hours and only needed the first one. I have sent numerous requests to be refunded for the remaining two hours - total $136.00 I have had no resolution to my request and no refund. Garrett was the first person I talked to/emailed during this process and I was guaranteed that if I was not satisfied I would receive a refund. When speaking with [redacted] to pay for the sessions - again guaranteed that I would be reimbursed for any unused hours @ $68.00 per hour. I am only requesting a refund of my unused amount of $136. I paid $25 on 8/22/13 and $179 on 8/26. The tutor was for math. My son completed his math session of his classes on 8/30/13 an does not need additional tutoring. However the tutor Abhi explained the math equations to my son on Sunday 8/25/13 during their one and only session just clicked with our son and he passed his test and his math course. We are very pleased with that. Just very frustrated at trying to get a refund issued. I have received a few returned phone calls but with no confirmation as to the refund status. I left a detailed message on Sunday evening asking for a returned call with a detailed message if my voice mail is reached. I have not heard back. Even when making the tutoring arrangements Garrett told us we could have in-home tutoring, we ended up having to go meet the tutor - which as mention before he is a great tutor - we had to follow-up to make the initial appointment even though I was told we would be contacted within 24 hours with an appointment --my point is that we have been accommodating to the changes in what services would be provided to us when we paid the initial down payment so I think we are not unreasonable in asking for a refund of the unused 2 hours.Desired Settlement: refund of the two unused hours of tutoring @ $68.00 per hour -- would like a refund of $136.00
