Gordon Schanzlin New Vision Institute

I recently had successful RLE (refractive lens exchange) surgery to both of my eyes (a week apart) by Dr. *** Gordon. Dr. Gordon corrected my original nearsightedness and astigmatism over 30 years ago with RK surgery (before LASIK and PRK). Dr. Gordon said I would only be eligible for RLE (monovision) correction because of my previous RK surgery. It has only been 3 days since my RLE surgery on my 2nd eye, and my peripheral vision is still a little blurry, but each day my vision is improving. My old 2x "Costco" cheater magnifying glasses are already too strong for my "new" eyes. I was surprised when I was able to read magazine print again just yesterday.
Jaime *** was my Care Coordinator and she has been wonderful by taking care of all the paperwork, my prescriptions, appointments (and ignorant questions...), etc.

I just want to commend every one at their office. Elizabeth who went above and beyond and took extra care of me. Robin my counselor who had so much patience and assured me that everything was going to be ok. Big Thanks to Dr. S who made this all possible! He was very professional and even spoke to my family who watched every minute of my procedure. He even dressed up my son to be a doctor which was very cool. He's very down to earth and so nice which made me feel so much at ease. Big thanks to all the staff over there and Dr. P who is just phenomenal. Eye surgery is a big choice and I feel I made the best decision in coming to New Vision Institute. They really go out of their way to make you feel like family. That to me is priceless. I highly recommend them and they are the top Lasik Institute in San Diego hands down.
