Review: This file should have never been sent to the company to begin with. The property manager gave us permission to move from the property because my husband had a stroke and was recovering in the Bay Area. I had to be there on a daily basis and couldnt afford the obligation. They went under new management and then we got a notice. They deducted the balance from my check every month and it has been paid off but they continued to deduct from work check. Gone was suppose to call to remove the deduction and there should be a credit for the months that were deducted when balance is paid off. It's $50 every pay period. I went into the office twice and spoke with a rep and he looked at file and said secretary would take care of file but still no luck. This file is also hitting my son and my credit report and we were under the impression when we left the property, in good standing. Our credit has a negative hit plus the account was has been paid like promised even after the miscommunication with the property.Desired Settlement: At this point I just want to get any money back that was paid over the balance. I also want mine and my son's credit report to support the current status and show as paid and closed. I know the property manager who was handling our file was let go but we left the property and never even went through the eviction process. We left the same week we told her so she could lease our apartment.

Response:This was a wage garnishment, and a judgment issued by the superior court of [redacted] for a legal eviction over non payment of rent. We are legally allowed to collect 10% on top of the remaining unpaid principal balance during a wage garnishment and court order. The additional fee of $12.00 is charged by the Sheriff's office as a processing fee for each check that is sent to the judgment creditor. The processing fee is not credited towards the principle balance. The debtor wanted a modification of $50.00 per pay period, so logically the debt is going to accrue interest, and with the multiple checks being cut, also incur a processing fee.[redacted]
Review: I have a line item on my credit report for $2,205. I do take responsibility for part of this collection however, it also shows on my credit report that this is a joint account. I was previously told my someone who worked for GONE that I have to pay the full amount on my own. I do not believe this is fair considering the collection is for a joint account because two people were on the lease. Since moving out, I have not spoken to the other person. I have no way of contacting him either. Regardless, I would like this removed from my credit.Desired Settlement: I would like to settle the amount for $1400 and I am willing to pay my share of that, $700. Once I pay my share, I want this item removed from my credit report completely. Also, once this agreement is made, I would like, in writing, proof of this agreement.
