Gold's Gym Woodinville

On Feb. 5, 2018 I purchased 4 personal training sessions from Gold's gym in Woodinville for $330.00 dollars total. I was very clear that I did not want to have additional sessions beyond the initial four. I was verbally assured several times by the salesman that there was no on-going commitment. I paid on the spot with my VISA furthering the idea that this was a one time event. I did feel that I was pressured into signing an agreement and I was not given a copy of that agreement. The person who sold the 4 sessions apparently ceased to be in Gold's employ shortly thereafter.

I received the 4 training sessions as agreed. However in August, 2018 I learned they had continued to debit $330.00 per month from of my checking account using ***, the same outfit that handles the monthly gym dues. It was a separate debit from the dues. As stated above, I was not having additional personal training.

When I brought the issue to the Woodinville manager's attention, I was told I had signed an "OPEN" contract giving them permission to charge continuously each month for these services until canceled with 30 days notice. The meaning of "OPEN" was obviously not explained by the salesman. Had it been I would not have signed the agreement.

I have sent in the cancellation request but due to the 30 day notice clause, Golds gym will not in fact cancel contract until after 9/5/2018 and therefore they will take yet another $330 dollars out of my checking account. They refuse to reimburse any of the funds or cancel the contract immediately despite what is clearly deceptive and deliberately misleading high pressure sales tactics and failure to honor a verbal understanding.

I had been a satisfied member since 2006 but now feel seriously abused and cheated by both Gold's Gym in Woodinville and the corporate entity.
