I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
Regards,

Our representative contacted the customer back on December 16, 2016. At that time, Mr*** informed us that he had made payment direct to the client. We requested payment details in order to verify the payment with our client, but Mr*** refused to provide the information.
We made subsequent calls four days later to try and ascertain this information to no avail, as our client was unable to verify that payment had been receivedOur next contact attempt was not until February 15, 2017, at which time our representative was repeatedly hung up on by the customer. We requested that Mr*** return the call and provide payment information in order to resolve the matter, but we never heard from him. That was the last time we attempted to contact Mr***On February 28, we received an email from our client stating that the customer had indeed made payment in November. I can only assume that Mr*** contacted them directly and was able to assist in locating the payment and having it posted to his accountAt no time did our representative threaten or use unethical practices with any of the employees of ** *** ***. Our desire was to simply be able to locate the payment that was made and bring closure to the issue but we were met with resistance from the customer, who likely felt put upon because they had made payment but it was not registering to their account and chose not to assist us in finalizing the matter
We received notification from *** *** this morning to close out the account as they were going to credit the $in full. Therefore, we will have no further contact with the customer. It should be noted that Allen, Maxwell & Silver was acting on the advice of *** ***
and had no reason to believe that the placed balance was incorrect. As for the credit bureau concern, Allen, Maxwell & Silver has not reported this matter to any credit bureau and neither has *** ***, so there should be no adverse effect on his credit rating
The Knot forwarded this account to us for collection on October 15, 2015. We made one call to Ms*** in which she detailed the items listed in her complaint. We immediately closed our file and reported the issue to The Knot. There was no harrassment as it was only a single
contact. Any further issue with this matter should be taken up with The Knot directly
