Golden Beach Chinese Foot Massage

Review: I have 2 gift certificates for $20 each that my boyfriend and I tried to use there on Friday, January 23rd. The lady at the front counter laughed at us when I showed them to her. After calling over a gentleman that worked there so they could both laugh at us and embarrass us, she then told us we couldn't use them because they were too old and the business has been through several ownership changes since they were purchased in 2009. CALIFORNIA LAW (California Civil Code Section 1749.5) states that gift certificates/cards DO NOT EXPIRE so why is it that this business does not have to honor this law when everyone else does?The company name, address and phone number are all still the same as they were when the gift cards were purchased.Desired Settlement: I would like cash back for my gift certificates totaling $40. I do not want the company to allow us to use these gift cards now after harassing us over them initially and embarrassing us. They will be upset they are forced to abide by the state law and then they will massage our bodies. This will be very uncomfortable for everyone involved.They also should be informed that they HAVE to abide by the state laws so this doesn't happen to anyone else in the future.
