To whom it concern,
I paid this company to install a new fence in May 2020. Towards the end of July we had a storm but it was bad enough to make a fence wobble and rock back in forth over a foot in both directions. All of my neighbors have fences and non of their fences came loose. Also, the concrete on half of the posts are broken. The owner did come to repair one side of my fence. And said he would return to fix the other two sides of the fence. It has been a month since I have heard anything from him. Then on 13AUG2020 he replied and said he would only fix two post on my short fence side and that I would have to pay for addition services. My entire fence is loose and I paid over $4000 for a fence that didn’t last 2 months. I feel cheated and I feel that the fence was improperly installed. Non of my neighbors fences have any problems and non of their concrete is broken and non of their fences are loose. The owner of the company said it was due to runoff. I do not believe that because my old fence was solid and had been there for years. The only reason we replaced it was because it was old.
This issue was taken care of promptly at no cost. Our original meeting was to fix a total of 3 posts on one side and the 2 posts on the back. When I showed up the next day he demanded I fix the post on the one side in which we had already had an agreement the day before in which he didn't follow to terms and I fixed 7 post on that one side at no charge which was 4 more post than the original consultation. The reason for posts even loosing up was due to 70mph winds and flooding that can be confirmed by neighbors 3 houses down in which I've done work for and have a wind meter as well as over 3.5 in of rain during same storm in which I also have record of destroying many other fences not done by our company. In the text messages it shows that he agreed not to have all other posts fixed but just the 2 others on rear fence so as I stated the additional post are can be fixed at cost but only the other 2 at no cost.
I will be out next week and will fix only the 2 poles on the 4ft side. I truly believe that I was forced into fixing more posts than originally discussed and still firmly believe that the damage was caused by high winds and flooding in that area. I had installed multiple other fences in that area as well as Yukon and Piedmont and none of those fences had any issues or complaints. Also have customers to attest to this statement. I also believe that the customer wiggling poles back and forth as in videos provided to me in wet soil also contributed to the issue as well. Again I already fixed more posts than discussed and will only fix 2 additional post on 4ft side.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. As long as owner contacts me with a specific date in time. Also, I would like to point out that I have tried to remain civil in my discourse and do not have the ability to force anyone to do anything my neighbor who was present at the owner fixing the one side can be proof of that. Also, I have already thanked the owner in person when he came many times for coming out the first time. The issue isn’t with what he has fixed the issue is what he said he would fix and not shown up. I am willing to agree to his terms of fixing the two remaining posts and no cost as long as the gentleman actually comes to fix my fence. I am active duty and will be deployed soon so my wife will have to handle the rest in my stead. I will be able to receive text messages so I will be able to forward all messages to my wife to ensure someone is home and able to receive the company to fix the remaining agreed upon posts at no cost. Thank you.
Sincerely
