Gold for America

Review: I ordered $20,000 in gold coins from Gold for America in Simi Valley, CA. They promised delivery within one week of payment. It has been six months since they received payment. They refuse to send the coins and will not return phone calls, e-mails or letters. A police report has been made and Gold for America has apparently abandoned their office. It is becoming apparent that I have been scammed out of $20,000.Desired Settlement: $20,000

Review: I purchased an Precious Metals IRA from [redacted]/Gold for America in 2013. I received a statement from Equity Institutional, the company storing the gold IRA, and made [redacted] aware I was not able to pay the storage and/or administration fees they charge. Since April of this year, I felt very uncomfortable about how she handled the purchase of the precious metals IRA, and told her I wanted he to sell the precious metals, pay off the bill with Equity Institutional and forward the balance to me so that I could transfer it to a traditional IRA. I left messages and emails to her, and have not received anything regarding the proceeds of the buyback of gold she purchased from Equity. I did authorize her to sell the gold, pay off Equity Institutional, but have never received the funds. I contacted Equity Instituional in October, 2014 and was made aware [redacted] from Gold for America did a buyback of the precious metals from Equity and that buyback occurred in July, 2014. The amount that Equity Institutional was to have sent to Gold for America was $4,754.25. My initial investment was $6,424.61. I have not seen the proceeds either. I have emailed [redacted] with no responses on her part., and also have not received emails stating the emails were undeliverable. I telephoned [redacted] at Equity Institutional today, December 8, 2014 and asked that any information regarding this buyback of the precious metals by [redacted] of Gold for America be sent to me so that I can issue this complaint against her and/or Gold for America.Desired Settlement: I want the initial value I invested with the Precious Metals IRA of $6,424.61 returned to me by [redacted] and/or Gold for America promptly.
