Review: Hello: I'm sending you a copy of the letter that I sent to this business last week. As of today I have not heard a response from them yet. The letter clearly explains the issue. Please feel free to call or e mail me if any questions. Thank you for your assistance. March 30, 2015Dear Manager / owner :On Feb. 2nd, 2015 after a long 18 hour flight from overseas and taking the Airbus airport shuttle to Goleta from LAX I was waiting at their Goleta bus depot for my reserved rental car from Enterprise so I can drive myself to Lompoc where I live. A cab driver came into the Lobby area and asked if I was waiting for a cab. I said no, I was waiting for my rental car. Seeing that his customer had already left, the cab driver asked me where I was going and I said Lompoc. He asked me how much I was paying for my rental car and I said $90. He said, I'll make a deal with you. I can take you there for a flat rate of $100 (no meter ). I accepted and canceled my rental car arrangement. When we got to Lompoc, he handed me his computer tablet to sign after I had given him my credit card. When I said I couldn't find my reading glasses and that was very dark at night time, he was irritated and impatient with me, and said just sign here. I trusted him and did that. He gave me a receipt for $100 like we had agreed. However, a week or so later when I received my credit card bill, I saw that he had charged me $125, giving himself a $25 tip.Since early February I have called the Gold Cab office at least 5-6 times and have talked with a lady named [redacted] ( or [redacted] ) who has assured me each time that she's consulting with the owner when responding to me on this issue. She said that the driver (an independent night driver ) has been contacted and has said that he'll mail me back a cDesired Settlement: An immediate refund for $25 along with a letter of apology for taking an unauthorized amount from my credit card, and for ignoring my phone calls and request regarding the refund.
