agreements:• GoDaddy Universal Terms of Service Agreement• GoDaddy Domain Name Registration Agreement• Change of Registrant Agreement• GoDaddy Domain Name Proxy AgreementCopies of the latest version of these agreements may be found at:[redacted]On February 24, 2015 the complainant modified the Registrant contact information associated with the Domain Name in question.  A 60-day lock (“Transfer Prohibition Period”) was expressly acknowledged on the domain when the Registrant’s contact information was updated.  GoDaddy takes the security of our customers’ accounts and domain names very seriously. As most domain hijackings occur shortly after a change of registrant is performed on a domain name, GoDaddy’s Change of Registrant Agreement was implemented to help protect our customer from such thefts. Our office reached out to the customer on February 26, 2015 and helped them revert their information to have the lock removed; and, they were able to successfully complete their domain transfers to another registrar.RESOLUTION:GoDaddy has upheld its agreements in good faith with our customer and honored its terms of service.  The customer has completed their transfer and this issue has been resolved.EDUCATION:The following GoDaddy Support articles will be helpful to our customer in preparation for future domain transfers.Transferring Domain Names to Another Registrar[redacted]Policy on Transfer of Registrations Between Registrars[redacted]Thank you again for the opportunity to address and bring clarity to the concerns presented by our valued customer.Kindest regards,[redacted]Office of the CEO – GoDaddy[redacted]

conducting business with GoDaddy:•    Universal Terms of Service Agreement•    Professional Design Services AgreementThe latest version of these agreements can be found at: https://www.godaddy.com/legal-agreements.aspxOn November 7, 2015, the complainant purchased GoDaddy’s Website Design Service for a one-year term with assistance from GoDaddy’s customer care center.  This services enlists GoDaddy’s Professional Web Design team to create a custom website (for a one-time fee), utilizing GoDaddy’s Website Builder product as the hosting of the site.  Customers must submit information, including images and text, for the website to our Professional Web Design team before the site can be built.  Subsequent updates to completed sites can be made by the Professional Web Design team utilizing time allotted to each customer as part of the site purchase.A reminder email was sent by our Professional Design Team on November 12, 2015 requesting content for the site build.  The complainant did not fully submit all of the requested information until November 25, 2015.  Additionally, the complainant contacted the Professional Web Design team on December 2, 2015 to add an additional page request to their site build.  The complainant was notified on December 9, 2015 that the site build was complete.  Since this date, the complainant has called the Professional Web Design team and GoDaddy’s customer care agents to voice their displeasure with the site design.  The complainant has also accessed the site builder and made updates to the site, causing portions of the site to display incorrectly. The Professional Web Design team restored a previous backup of the site on December 14, 2015 at the complainant’s request.RESOLUTION:GoDaddy has upheld its agreements in good faith with the complainant and honored its terms of service.GoDaddy has attempted to work with our customer to the best of our ability and satisfy their design needs.  If the complainant wishes to have the Professional Web Design team correct concerns the complainant may have with the site, this will need to be done utilizing allotted update time.  The complainant may submit a list of updates they wish to have completed to our design team.  This can be completed by submitting the list via the Design Manager of their Website Builder, or calling our Professional Web Design team to open an update. Thank you again for the opportunity to address and bring clarity to the concerns presented by the complainant.Kindest regards,Mike L[redacted]Office of the CEO - GoDaddy[redacted]Scottsdale, AZ 85260

I wrote a full run down on my position although it wouldn't send due to being more then 2000 letters. I was unable to delete parts of it so with time being of essents I will hold my ground and reiterate what I said in my original complaint. I do need to add that Godaddy went forward and removed more funds on March 20, 2016 from the unauthorized bank card they somehow obtained info on. The new card they are using has a different name and number on it then the original payment method I had given them.

I have tried for for literaly years to cancel my Godaddy account and without any satisfaction after all attempts that I had made in their requirements for filling out and adding a "selfie" to the Internet forms for "customer website domain security" The moment I would finalize the attachment my computer screen goes blank. Each time I attempted to send your forms this happened. I tried the process from my own email as well yet when I went to send them to your assigned dept email ( called customer service for the correct dept and email address to send the forms to). The moment I hit "send" a message popped up stating I was sending to an unsecured reciepiant and redirected my email.
I believe this has become evident to me that Godaddy is a business more associated with scamming consumers into product they don't need due to "package savings" and then when people like me who don't need all the "add on's" or who never even added them but you say they did they have entered into being stuck in a position that is only beneficial to Godaddy. I do not have a website or business. I want my whole account cancelled and the funds I have been trying to stop you from withdrawing for the past couple of years back. I have exhausted my patients and will do what it takes to stop your tactics of unethical business practices.

This is my 3rd domain registration, my first two were through google domains rather than godaddy. Why is it that only godaddy resulted in me getting dozens of spam calls/emails?
Taking a look at the whois data it's easy to see why, while google domains protects sensitive customer information,

Godaddy takes no such precautions.

GoDaddy.com LLC and Auto-Renew policies:

I complied with GoDaddy.com LLC's Auto-Renew policy just to remove the Auto-Renew feature from my "secure" website hosting dashboard. Apparently it's not secure enough even for GoDaddy, because you can't remove Auto-Renew feature from your dashboard.

Godaddy LLC requires you to jump through multiple hoops such as forwarding various documents proving ownership of a website that I put up. One such document requested was a digital image of my department of motor vehicles drivers license. I provided them with a very clear digital image, but according to GoDaddy.com LLC, the image was just not clear enough, so they just continued billing me and billing me and billing me.

If you call the 24/7 Support: ###-###-####, plan to spend even more money waiting on hold while they get to your call.

Dear Revdex.com Representative(s):I am appreciative of your assistance in this matter. I have received the response from the GoDaddy representative. I have also received an “refund request” that was not authorized from GoDaddy, which will be forwarded to the Revdex.com shortly and further communications should be provided through the Revdex.com. I would like to formally reject the offer of $205.59, as this amount does not accurately reflect the amount that is owed for “ALL services” that were requested to be cancelled on or about May 30, 2015. The services that were requested cancelled included domain registration and hosting, and email/Microsoft related services (the cancellation for all services was made at the end of the online chat with [redacted]). These services have not been used by myself or my law firm beyond on or about May 30, 2015 and GoDaddy has not provided such services beyond such date. It would seem that once services are requested cancelled that a service provider is no longer providing such services and would not be entitled to keep money that was paid for such services that are no longer provided to a consumer. This is not something that I would have knowingly agreed to related to the services that were supposed to be provided by GoDaddy. As previously stated, a GoDaddy sales representative (who contacted me) represented to me that purchased services could be cancelled at anytime and refunded if cancelled prior to the ended of the contracted term. That would be November 20, 2015 for domain registration and hosting and November 20, 2016 for the email/Microsoft services. I specifically asked about this multiple times and was assured that was the case. If the “refund” requirements and/or terms were in fact different, then the sales person misrepresented such requirements and/or terms and did not provide a specific reference to such written requirements and/or terms. At this time, I will agree to a settlement in the amount of $220.20, which represents that money that is owed for all services that were requested cancelled on or about May 30, 2015. As stated before, I do not intend to use services from GoDaddy and remedy other the return of the money owed would not be feasible or practical. Therefore, I would like to settle this matter amicably for the amount requested by me. Thank you,[redacted]

Thank you for the opportunity to address the additional concerns presented by the complainant. Contrary to our customer's understanding they were not paying for unpaid fees incurred by the prior domain owner. The domain name in question originally expired on March 8, 2015. When our customer purchased the domain name through the Expired Domain Auction they acknowledged that the time being paid for started on the domains original expiration date, not the date the order was processed. As previously stated, the domain name in question has now expired and reached a redemption status. As a one-time exception and gesture of goodwill, GoDaddy is willing to waive the $80 redemption fee.  Our customer may contact our 24/7 Customer Consultation and Care team directly at ###-###-#### to take advantage of this offer.Thank you again for the opportunity to address the additional concerns presented by the complainant.Kindest regards,Terri H[redacted]Office of the CEO - GoDaddy

Dear Dispute Resolution Consultant,Thank you for the opportunity to address and bring clarity to the concerns presented by the complainant. We have reviewed this matter and would like to present the following. The complainant acknowledged and agreed to the following agreements upon...

conducting business with GoDaddy:• Domain Registration Agreement• Universal Terms of Service AgreementThe latest version of these agreements can be found at: https://www.godaddy.com/legal-agreements.aspxGoDaddy makes every attempt to register available domain names for our customers.  As part of this process, we make multiple inquiries via numerous third-party systems, including the domain name registry, to check if a domain is available.  If GoDaddy does not receive a negative response indicating that the domain is not available for registration, we will charge our customers for the registration and submit the request to the registry.  If the request is later rejected, GoDaddy will refund the purchase price in full, in accordance with the Domain Name Registration Agreement and Universal Terms of Service Agreement. On June 12, 2015, the complainant purchased registration requests for the two domain names in question.  At the time of purchase, our system did not receive an immediate rejection, and proceeded with the transaction.  Shortly after, GoDaddy received notification the registration attempts had failed, which appears to be due to missing information provided by the complainant during the registration process. RESOLUTION:GoDaddy has upheld its agreements in good faith with the complainant and honored its terms of service. As the registrations could not be completed for the domain names in question, GoDaddy refunded the transactions in accordance with our Refund Policy and terms of service.  A public WHOIS lookup of the domain names indicate they are currently available for pre-registration.  If desired, the complainant may attempt to register the domain names again.  Thank you again for the opportunity to address and bring clarity to the concerns presented by the complainant.Kindest regards,[redacted]Office of the CEO - GoDaddy[redacted]@GoDaddy.com[redacted]Scottsdale, AZ 85260###-###-#### Phone
