We provided services to this customer through Austin's low income energy efficiency program We completed the work in March of At that time, Austin Energy approved the completed work In May, after storms that were severe enough to make the national news, we received a
complaint that our solar screens had cracked their windowsThough our warranty had expired, we sent technicians to check it out Though we had no obligation to do anything, the technicians started the process of replacing the windowsOnly one pane needed to be replaced, but when they started they discovered that it was not possible to replace only one pane on these windows and broke the window We contracted with another company to complete the work Since there were so many broken windows in Austin due to the storms, they took a couple of weeks to even get over to look at it They have given us a quote for $and we paid half as a down payment They are still extremely backlogged and will complete it soon

The company we contracted installed one window with bars that was 33-3/x and two windows without bars that were 33-3/x 28-1/ I understand a complaint was also filed against them for some reason...Per her previous post, we understand that she no longer wants the solar screens so we consider this to be closed
