Review: On 3/24 Global's residential garbage truck used my driveway to turn around. We do contract with them for weekly pickup. We realize now that they used our driveway to turn around every week. Upon exiting the drive, they turned too sharply, putting the wheel into the ditch. The truck had to be removed with a tow truck. The resulting damage included putting a hole through the blacktop in one area where the back of the truck apparently rested after getting stuck, with accompanying drag marks for 1-2 feet. Also, the blacktop around the drainage pipe (for the ditch they got stuck in) was broken off for several inches all around the pipe.

We called were told they were call us back. We waited one week for them to respond. They claim they had our cell phone number written incorrectly, though our home number is on file. The owner came to the house while we were not present to take pictures and then nothing happened. I waited a week and then started calling them again. At first, they did not return phone calls. Then, the person told me that the gentleman who came out was on vacation so they couldn't do anything and would call me next week. I asked why it had't been taken care of before he went on vacation and he replied that he had been on vacation the previous week. This visit had occurred over two weeks ago, so they chose not to deal with it prior to both of their vacations. I also asked why their insurance adjuster had not been notified to come out, for which he had no answer.

So this week they were supposed to call me back and have not. I contacted them again today and still no response.

The bottom line is that the apron of our driveway is a mess versus the rest of the drive. This could very well be because they were turning their loaded garbage truck around in our drive every week. Now we have a chunk our of the drive and fractures surrounding it in one area and huge chunks of blacktop broken off on the side.Desired Settlement: I'd like their insurance company to come out and look at the situation and agree to repairs. I do not believe Global has demonstrated that they can or will deal with this in a timely fashion on their own.

Review: Lack of prepaid service.

They have a schedule (web site) that indicates the weeks that recycling will be collected. No collection occurs. You call, they say next week because that is what the schedule says. Place curbside the following week - NO PICK UP. Call, again. They say "please wait till Saturday." Saturday arrives and still no pickup. I prepaid for a year. What a chump I am.Desired Settlement: Pick it up forgive me the money back
