Review: I attended Global Business Institute while living in New York, at this time the campus was located in Harlem. I was enrolled into school for the Medical Assistant program in the school year 2000-2001. I near finished the program but due to personal issues I had to stop school. After a while I moved to Florida. I decided that the kids are older now and that would allow me time to get back into school. I went to enroll at a college and they requested my previous transcripts from Global Business Institute in order to evaluate the credits. I called the school and they said they moved to Far Rockway in New York but they still have all past student file. I gave my information so that they could send the transcripts to my school. The register department informed me that there aren't any records of me attending school there. I was stunned to know that I got charged $3,300 in grants but my file disappeared ad if I never attended the school. My admissions representative gave tham a call as well and she said that they inform her the same. My admissions representative said that on the NSLDS the school code is still the same and I did get charged for the full grant. I really need my transcript in order to fulfill my goal to complete my college education.Desired Settlement: I need the transcripts or a refund of the $3,300 that I was charged for.
