We went to Giardino's Pizza on 07/28/2020, which was our last and final visit there. We had not dined in previously due to the Covid-19 hiatus. We went in and menus were on the table. We ordered from the menu and were NOT told prices had increased! We got our food and consumed it. When we went to pay, the waitress rang our order up and we paid. We realized the total was too high, so we inquired. We were told by the waitress that they had "new" menus, but didn't have but one copy; the others had not yet been printed, we were told. She would not honor the prices on the menus on the tables, even though we were NOT told that the menus on the tables were without the new price increases. This is deceitful and underhanded! I would also think that is against the law to show someone one price and then charge a greater price. We also want our tip refunded because the waitress was so hateful about demanding the higher prices. Just this very minute, online at ***, their menu prices are STILL the lower prices we SHOULD have paid in the restaurant! I'm guessing they are doing this to everybody. . .showing lower prices and charging more. They are preying on innocent people and this is just wrong in so many ways!
The following are the menu prices from the menu on the tables & the prices we were charged:
small cheese pizza $5.99 - charged $6.99
pepperoni $0.85 - charged $1.00
large french fries $3.50 - charged $4.99
12" sub + fries & 20 oz. drink $9.99 - charged $10.99
What should have been $20.33 + tax was actually $27.57 w/ tip. I realize this is only a difference of $7.24 +/- tax, but it is the principle. We want our $7.24 plus the adjusted tax (and our $2.00 tip) for a total of $7.24 +/- tax refunded.
Again, just this very minute, online at ***, their menu prices are STILL the LOWER prices we SHOULD have paid in the restaurant! I'm guessing they are doing this to everybody. . .showing lower prices and charging more.
