Get it painted

Related to "Get It Painted", owned and operated by Recon, if zero stars were an option, it would be too many. Get It Painted contracted to paint the exterior and interior of our home, with a promise to have it all completed within a six week period. Not only did they not try to meet their delivery commitment, and ended up taking more than 12 weeks to complete, but when it became clear to them that they overestimated the job and the efficiency of their paint crew, with the work only half completed they threatened to walk off the job entirely unless they were paid nearly twice the original contracted fixed fee price. They knew this put us in an impossible position since due to our deadline and the unavailability of alternative paint contractors at the height off the construction season. This behavior is called extortion.

The extortion is in itself bad enough. But beyond the extortion and the lack of integrity around completion date, the quality of their work was very poor, seemingly targeted more for rental properties where the owners may not generally care or pay much attention. Not only was paint prep rushed and sloppy, it was very inefficient, clearly using very inexperienced workers. There was far too much paint overspray
