My vehical was repaired at Gerber Collision after an accident. Everything seemed ok when I went to pick it up but when I attempted to turn on the radio the same afternoon it was no longer working. I called them right away and was told by the manager to take it to the dealership which confused me since they were the ones who had my car for the past 2 to 3 weeks and the radio was working fine when it went in, accident and all. I contacted Gerber Collision several times after through email inquiring about foxing my radio and was told lies, upon lies about what they said they already did but have not. I would like to get my radio fix now and Gerber Collision is responsible.

Review: I had a horrible week back in September where I was in two separate accidents. The first happened where the driver had backed into me and the second happened where a truck tried to run me off the road. The insurance company of the first incident claimed fault in the matter and gave me some options of where to take the vehicle. I decided to take my car to Gerber collision and glass since they were closer to my home and could see me right away. I thought that since they were going to handle one of the incidents I should just let them do both repairs. When I dropped the vehicle off it was fully operational with the exception of the driver side window which was unable to go up or down. The adjuster tested everything to confirm they were operational. I was promised the repairs would take approximately four days when I initially dropped it of. When I called the shop I was told that it would take a few more days because of parts issues. I informed my insurance company of the issue and they extended the rental car. I was promised that my car would have been ready on Wednesday 2nd of October until I called the shop to find out that they were having some issues with the window regulator. I had to turn in the rental car on the Wednesday but again needed to extend another day. When I called on Thursday I was told that the car was ready to be picked up but they still did not get the regulator to work and that I needed to inform the insurance company so that they can send me to another facility that can diagnose the problem. When I arrived at the facility I wrote a check for the repairs and was given the keys to my car. As I approached the car to unlock the doors, the doors did not open. I pressed the sensor again and still the door didn't open. I then took the key and opened the driver side door manually. I then walked around to the passenger side where I noticed there was a large plastic covering over the passenger window. I went back into the facility and spoke to the young lady at the front desk that originally inspected the car and kindly ask her to come out side. I asked her why was their a plastic on the window and she explained that they could not get it to work. I guess she could see the steam coming out of my ear that she jumped in the car and took it back into the shop to have them try to fix the problem. I was told that I dropped the car off with the windows down and they just decided that it was my fault., when everything had been tested and was operational when I dropped the vehicle off. I was very upset and stayed outside to keep my cool. I walked back into the facility and asked the other receptionist to speak with a manager. After about 20min a gentleman came out to speak with me. He started out stating that I brought the car in with the passenger windows down and that the regulator failed when I dropped the car off. I explained to him that everything was tested prior to me giving them the keys. He got irate and told me that it was not his problem and he was not going to fix the problem since I brought the car in with the window regulator broken. He went on to say that he is not a bank and is not going to write me a check for the window. We argued back and forth until we ended back inside the facility and I asked him to talk to the young lady that looked at the car when I dropped it off to confirm that everything worked except for the drivers side window that did not go all the way up. She confirmed my argument and then he came to me without an apology and asked me to leave the car another day. I asked him how will I get home or work? He stated I can rent another car and I told him just give me a ride home and get my vehicle fixed. The young lady that looked at the car was kind enough to give me a ride home. I had to figure out some way of getting to work.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to acknowledge that it was there fault in causing the other problems and delay in receiving my vehicle back in a timely manner and take responsibility for the cost of the repairs. I would also like to be compensated for every day that I was without my car.

Did a very good repair to my Ram 3500. They did a very through job and cleaned the truck for pick up. It looked like new.

appreciated very much that they picked me up atmy house when truck was finished. Thank you. Robert K[redacted]

Review: I had my Toyota Corolla into the shop in November of 2014. The repair work was completed and I picked up my car. In March of 2015 the bumper that Gerber had replaced was falling off the car and would not stay attached to the front end. I contacted Gerber and was asked to bring the car back in. I did that in April of 2015. The Manager on duty that day (Brad) took my car into the service area and had it back there for perhaps 15 minutes. He brought it back out and said that they had fixed my problem. Two days later the bumper was once again not staying on the front of my car. I contacted Brad again and he told me that I must had hit something and that is why the bumper wouldnt stay attached. This is in fact not true. Brad also told me that he had contacted my insurance adjuster and told him the same thing and that if I wanted I could open a new claim and Gerber would be happy to fix it. I took my car to a different body shop to get a second opinion. The second shop inspected my car and found multiple issues with the repairs that had been performed by Gerber. First and most importantly they put on a bumper that was not a factory bumper but an after market part that did not fit properly. The bumper that Gerber used did not have any of the proper aligning marks for proper fit. The bumper Gerber used also did not have any holes for the ground effects that my Corolla has and therefore Gerber had to cut holes to fit the effects on. Gerber did in fact cut the holes in the wrong positions causing my ground effects to not fit properly and hang loose on the wheel well side of them. It was also noted that the paint job that was performed was sloppy and has several places that are uneven and do not match. The second body shop contacted my insurance adjuster who then came to the body shop and looked at my vehicle and noted the above issues as well as how flimsy the bumper was and has approved the new body shop to perform the corrective actions needed to put my vehicle back to its original condition.Desired Settlement: Due to the fact that I will need another rental car while my car is fixed I am requesting a full refund of $500 for the portion of the repairs that I paid for. I had to rent a car for the whole time that Gerber had my car and will need a rental car this time as well. I do not have rental car coverage on my insurance policy and therefore this is all out of pocket expense for me. I believe that if Gerber had fixed my car properly the first time I would not need additional rental car time and I would not have this additional expense to pay for.

Review: Gerber Collision is the preferred provider for my insurance company. I took my daughters vehicle there to be repaired following an accident. An estimate of the repair work was prepared and sent to the insurance company. Gerber called me and texted me multiple times during the duration of the repair to give me status updates. The repair was estimated at 9 days. I was very surprised when I received a call that it had been completed in about 5 days. Before arriving to pick up the vehicle shortly before closing I returned the rental car and enterprise dropped me off at Gerber. When I arrived the car was dirty, dust from sanding all over the seats, they had oversprayed paint on the window and black portion of the mirror. They had called me regarding replacing a tire on the vehicle that they were unable to locate the same brand---no tire replaced. Then I noticed the rim that was to be replaced had not been replaced either. When I questioned the gentleman about it he told me the insurance company had denied that portion of the claim. I said that was odd because I was updated on the car every day and it was not mentioned. I asked to see the insurance company denial. He got nervous and stated they would take care of it at their expense as a courtesy to me and I was asked to wait a 4 days for the ordering of the rim. When I got home I went over the bill and noticed that I had been charged for it and that the insurance co. had not denied it. I was told later that the he had lied. I then had to wait an additional 6 days (10 days in total)to have the vehicle completed. The tire replacement was supposedly for a different vehicle in the shop. I wasted two additional lunch hours exchanging the vehicle for the rim. Very disappointed in my experience. All that was offered for the delay and my time wasted was about half a tank of gas, the buffing of a scratch and the car being cleaned which should have been done from the beginning. When I suggested discounting the repair for my trouble--denied.Desired Settlement: They received my $500 deductible before the repair had even been completed. I think I am due a refund. I took time off work to deal with this repair and then had to waste two of my lunch hours exchanging my vehicle with a rental for them to complete work that should have been done from the beginning. When I asked for a discount to my cost, I was told that would be fraud. Discounting labor cost does not account to fraud----but charging me and my insurance company for work not performed does.

Response:

What was stated in the response was completely inaccurate. Ridiculous the lies that keep coming from this business. I have text messages paperwork, rental agreements and voicemails from both Gerber and [redacted] who handled the additional work that needed to be completed. I picked the car up on Friday July 12, 2013. The car was returned on Monday July 22nd after the parts that were supposed to be replace that weren't came in. The car was then returned Tuesday July 23rd. The work took an additional 11 days from the original repair. The car had 3/4 of a tank of gas when they received it. It was not picked up from their location. The car was picked up by the business at my work and returned on the additional repair. I did not respond to a voicemail because the imposing process stated that it would be better to let the Revdex.com handle it from here. I believe I am do a refund of my $500 that I was responsible for in the claim. I have also notified my insurance company that they should be removed from the preferred provider list. The tire was never replaced either. What they did was insurance fraud!

Review: My initial complaint case # is: [redacted] against [redacted]. I was in an automobile accident on February 20, 2015 during this time I was fully insured by [redacted]. Gerber Collision is one of their certified collision repair body shops. My car was towed to Gerber on Saturday, Feb. 21st, 2015 completion of repair was 4/16/15. Their were extenuating circumstances for the length of this repair. I own a [redacted] as [redacted] has gone out of business in the USA, parts had to be ordered directly from Sweden. Gerber was instrumental in getting the parts necessary to complete the repair as expeditiously as possible. Per the warranty from Gerber; mechanical operations (1) year, Parts/Materials warranties provided by the manufacturer's of the parts/materials. Gerber's warranty is 30 days from the day I pick up my car. On May 4th, 2015 I called Gerber Collision to report that everything on the steering wheel, is no longer working,i.e. brite light switch doesn't stay on, all the operating knobs that control the radio/cd player, sound, no longer work, also the fishtail antenna on top of the roof has come off. I've been told by [redacted] @ Gerber that he would have to call [redacted] to confirm if they would approve any additional repairs!!! This isn't an additional repair, this is to repair my vehicle in the condition it was in before the accident when I was fully insured by [redacted]. Since my accident, [redacted] has made the decision to drop me from their policy, which has forced me purchase "High Risk" insurance and pay an astronomical premium due to 2 accidents/claims filed with [redacted]. I know I am NOT IN GOOD HANDS WITH [redacted]. I just want Gerber Collision to HONOR their agreement/warranty to repair my car, which states in their agreement.Desired Settlement: Would like to be treated fairly by Gerber Collision and honor their warranty and restore, repair my car in the condition that it was in before the accident on February 20th, 2015. I was told by [redacted], on April 16th, if there were any issues with the car, not to hesitate to call immediately. I did, and now I'm getting no response, and the run-around. Certainly disappointed, and feel that Gerber Collision is following the same disregard that [redacted] shows it's customers.
