Be very careful about doing business with these people. They aren't completely truthful and never seem to get back to you if you have any questions or problems. It sounds good at first, but once you figure out how much money that actually costs you every month for all of the fees involved you'll see this is only good for rich people.
I emailed them some urgent questions at their website and never got a quick or a short response (or at any at all at the date of this writing). Since I was a silver member in good standing, I expected a little customer service but got none. They also didn't seem concerned that I said I would contact PayPal about the matter.
A large number of emails brought NO RESPONSE from Wyndham. I don't know what else to do.
Horrible horrible horrible ! A total waste of ten years of money ! Warning to ANYONE EVER even thinking about buying this garbage ..... Walk out and don't ever look back.... Ever!
Promises and what actually we got were way different... Shown a presidential sweet which my points wont even get me... Complaint only turned up we need to buy more points thats why its not working for me... Given no way out that I know of...
Extremely frustrating experience. On 31 October I purchased 51,000 points to transfer to RCI exchange. It took 2 hours on the phone. The points are supposed to hot the account within 24-48 hours. I called back on 11-1, 11-2, 11-4, & 11-15 (each time spending hours on hold) and my points still haven't been transferred. This is unacceptable considering the amount of money us owners pay.
They have one goal to sell you- I was brought to 3 different reps. I went for the free getaway. Watched their 90 min talk which was not heavy handed- but thats when I starts
1) see these are your options....my reply- I want to think about it. No time because you see this extra special option disappears if you don't sign today. Ok I am willing to walk so then
#2) comes over. the supervisor says listen we can even do a better deal. I say the same to him and he does the following: your finacial advisor would want you to sign- call him now don't wait. also insulted where I was from- you new yorkers are just stuborn- thats why you aren't saying yes. you know its a good deal. still said no
#3) the woman saying can you give us feedback. how was the deal, the exerpeince. I told her I wasn't interested still- and then her attitude changed to let me take you up front and get you out of her.
By the way I was made to sign papers knowing I would never get the extral special VIP deal if I came back. What bad customer service. why would I want to stay with them if I get treated so poorly.
I am a current Wyndham Vacation Owner and I would have to agree with most of the negative reviews! I feel like I am trapped in a never ending cycle of lies! I purchased in 2008 and over the years, this has been one of the worst decisions that I made! After sifting through the online system, I can rarely, if at all, book a vacation. Even if I start months in advance. It is NOT worth it!! I was on vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC and was told at check in that I needed to attend an Owner's update meeting. What a horrible experience! The young lady that was assigned as my vacation counselor, started out really nice with a fluff conversation. She attempted to get me to sign a form, that when I questioned her about it, she indicated that they were going to do a "soft inquiry" on my credit. I refused to sign the form and made her give it to me. Another representative then comes over and tried to further pressure me with a high pressure guilt trip sales pitch. Again, I said, "no" and informed them that I really needed to leave because I was meeting the rest of my family for an outing. The guy wouldn't stop!! After repeatedly telling them no, I was finally(55 minutes later) allowed to leave. At check in, I was promised that if I attended this "short update for Owners" that I would receive a wine and cheese set. This was a total lie!! Once I refused to buy additional points, I was presented with a wooden cutting board. I explained to the lady that was checking me out that I was told at check in that I would receive a wine glass and cheese set but this is a cutting board. She then looked at me and said in a very condescending tone "that is a wine and cheese set". I was floored because clearly I could see that this was a cutting board not wine glasses and cheese set. Not only did I waste half a day of my vacation time but the representative tried to pull a fast one over and the second representative was extremely rude and insulting. Not to mention, the check out person was rude and condescending!!! I wished that I knew back in 2008 what I know now, I would have NEVER ever made this purchase! Even though I requested a follow up, and that was in December 2014, I am still waiting in January 2016 for that follow up! Do not purchase this!!! Trust me when I say you will regret it and this is coming from a current Wyndham Vacation Owner!
This company outright lies to you at their presentations and then, everything that you have bought into, end up costing you extra on top of your monthly payments. Forget about transferring points out or using RCI and Worldmark, that's a ridiculous fee as well. Biggest scam! Take your money and run far away from this company because the only way you get out of their contacts is to file for bankruptcy!
