Complaint2013 car was fixed here and within one day of picking up the car quit running, cut off.I wrecked my 2013 Toyota. The vehicle was towed by Georges who fixed the damage and had the vehicle over 3 weeks. We picked up the car and it drove fine no initial issues. Within the first day less than 100 miles it cut off and was driving a little odd. I had to have pushed in to my place of work. It just so happens there is body shop behind my place of employment who looked at car and said there was no clamp on the radiator hose (front end collision radiator was replaced) car would not crank but up. I called body shop who came and towed car and did get running but was not running right. I called them a few hours later and they tell me it is blown head gasket and they will have to back date and file on my insurance. I spoke to my insurance adjustor who explains the damages were paid in full and it is the bodys shop responsibility but they are refusing to repair. I need some help. I am only 19 and they are not talking to me nicely about it, they hung up the phone on me. I have been making the payments while car was in shop and paid the deductible to get out of shop. I have been without the car for three weeks and am full time student and work full time. I can't continue to be without a vehicle and really need some insight and help. Desired SettlementI want the car fixed correctly. I think that the body shop did poor work cosmetically but am more concerned with the major issues. I would feel best if they would tow to a licensed mechanic or even a Toyota dealer so they can fix the car but think the body shop should be responsible for all damages. I had no idea that I should be worried about the hose I was told car was ready to go. I am 19 year old female with no automotive knowledge and feel they took advantage of that.
