George Baird Drain Cleaning

Office staff and the plumber, [redacted], were all professional. Staff called back as promised and [redacted] was on time for the same day appointment. Very pleased with the courtesy shown and the work done.

I have used this business several times to unclog drains. So when my kitchen sink became clogged the day before a big party I was having, I called them and left a message. A lady called me early the next morning, got my info, and said she would call me between 8-9 am to schedule an appointment. At 9:15 I called her back and she said she still did not have a man to come out but would call back. I waited until 4:15, called her again, and got an answering machine. I left a message and called two more times leaving messages and got no call back. Today is the party, and I haven't heard from them. That lady could have at least called me and said she couldn't send someone. But since they had been reliable in the past, I trusted them. No more - I will never call them again, or refer my friends to them.

Review: I used Baird Plumbing on Tuesday 12/29/2015 to clean out/unclog my main drain line, and they didn't do the clean out job well so the drain was still backing up Thursday 12/31/2015. We called Baird at 1 pm on 12/31/2015 and the receptionist said they could not come out until Saturday 1/2/2016 to FIX the job they left incomplete. We could not use our showers or toilets because they did not clean out our main line as we needed and so we were forced to call another plumbing company and pay emergency overtime rates to do the job Baird was supposed to have done during regular business hours on 12/29/2015.Desired Settlement: Refund $50 we paid to Baird for the job they did not do.

While it was an extreme inconvenience and very costly to remedy the "last minute" problem Baird left us with, we are only asking for a refund of what we paid to Baird for the work they did not complete in the first place, rather than what we had to pay to Affordable Plumbing to come out on 12/31/2015.
