Re: Case ID: XXXXXXXX
To Whom It May Concern:
[redacted], who dropped off his IPAD Air with a severely cracked screen on 9-22-14, picked up his IPAD Air upon completion of the screen replacement a day or so later. Shortly afterwards, he returned claiming we had scratched the back of the IPAD. We denied that we caused the scratches and he left angry and in a threatening manner.
[redacted], owner of Geeks n Nerds, called [redacted] later that day and told him we had spoken to the technician who did the repairs, who acknowledged that there was a possibility that minor scratches could have been caused if there were some sort of particles on the table where the repair was done. We offered to give [redacted] a complete refund. He agreed. Later, he called and said part of the IPAD screen was unresponsive. We called our supplier and had them overnight another replacement screen, again at no expense to [redacted], which solved the issue. [redacted] picked up the IPAD and checked its functionality before he left our store.
As far as we know, the matter has been resolved to [redacted]'s satisfaction. His report to the Revdex.com was submitted between the time he left Geeks n Nerds after discovering the scratches and the time [redacted] called him offering the complete refund the same day.
In our opinion, we felt we did everything possible to make the situation right with the customer.
Sincerely,
Geeks n Nerds

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/10/08) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
A refund was given but the store owner does not know the definition of threatening. For him to blatantly lie and say that they did not do it and have technicians that did not confess to doing it is a bunch of [redacted]. the store owner darn well knows that the scratches were fresh and caused by his technician Lang the iPad air on top of broken glass. He has to go back and look at the cameras and he will see that is what happened. For this facility to have employees that cannot be trusted shows that this businessis not honest. He did replace the screen free of charge but the screen was shipped to him no cost and at the convenience of the company he directly buys it from. He only did his reasonable service. Yes the money was refunded to me but overall it took several days of my time and much fuel to get there as well as missing several of my appointments.

In spite of the personal comments, we are glad the machine is working properly.
