We are members with Unlimited Vacation Club. We contacted them recently about doing a price match on our already booked vacation. We were fortunate in that we got Penelope again (worked with her already in the same month). She remembered us from the prior call and made the whole process enjoyable and easy. We can't recommend her enough. Over the past 2 years, we have had positive experiences with this business.
This was a terrible experience for us. Our personal concerier was horrible. Didn't even get to talk with this person. It was always someone different. It's was a big hasel to get the right discounts and prove. Also trying to make the payment took 4 days cause none of the representative knew where the payment was going. They said they would hold the original deal till Monday which they did not. Missed a whole day of work on Monday the 27 of November trying to get the payment to the right place. This was a very stressful tasks that took 4 days to complete. In the end it costed us time and money when it shouldn't have. When purchased this contract we were told this would be alot easier because we would have a personal concier to do all the leg work. We feel we did all the work and yet we have to pay for there service which is $150 a year. We think it's unfair cause they did not help in our opinion.
One of our call center manager reached out to the member today to apologize for this inconvenience. It seems that the member's bank was denying the charge most likely for security reasons since our bank is located internationally.
Regarding the comment about the personal concierge, all of our customer service specialist are trained to assist members with their vacation needs. A personal concierge is not assigned per membership unless they are booking several rooms through our referral program. In that case, one agent will assist the member with the multiple bookings. This was also explained in detail on today's call. We hope that everything has been resolved to the member's liking and we look forward to servicing them in the future.
This is my first time trying to use our UVC Gold membership to reserve 2 weeks in the Dreams Las Mareas, Cost Rica. "Christina" in customer service was wonderful in helping me use 3 of my free nights, then 11 days following. She made sure our junior suite was booked as we wanted and took the time to explain the possible insurance and how I can arrange airport transfers.
I needed to make a change to our group booking of 10 rooms. It was the second time our plans changed and we had to adjust our reservations. UVC and especially, Aisha was very professional and accommodating, and made the process painless. We can't wait for our trip!
