I bought pair of jean shorts size [redacted] in waistI got home tried on and I couldn't even get them up to my waist and I wear a size [redacted] I knew they were not letting people return items for money but all I wanted was to swap for different size and they would not let methey told me that the liquidators would not let them,but they would not even know since it would just be a swap

We received a letter from the Revdex.com on Thursday, July 20", sharing the information about the complaint you have filed and I am addressing the resolution in this letter, which is copied to both you and the Revdex.com.As of mid May, Gander Mountain's product and fixtures were purchased by a liquidation company and were no longer controlled by Gander Mountain or its former policies for refunds and exchangesAs of June 2", we posted notices that no refunds or exchanges would take place after that time, in a response to direction given by the liquidators.I have to follow their policies and not the former policies of Gander MountainI am willing to swap this item for the exact same one in a different size, with no register transaction taking placeIf we do not have the exact same item in a different size we will not take any action, such as a providing a refundYou will need to keep the original item, as the policy has stated.I apologize for the inconvenience and please understand that this is not a representation of my personal feelings about how this should be handled, or the former Gander Mountain organizationIt is simply the policy of the liquidators,Feel free to see me personally when you come into the store, or simply bring the letter and the apparel piece in to see if we can exchange it for yousee attachment

To Whom It May Concern:I, [redacted], Store Manager for Gander Mountain #[redacted], located at [redacted], Pennsylvania wish to respond to the complaint lodged against us on 1 June 2014.The Customer did in fact purchase the [redacted] T3 Rifle, Caliber .30-06 from our store...

on the 20th of December 2013. At that time, the customer signed the Gander Mountain “Firearm Sale” Record Form. The form states:“Consistent with industry standards, ALL FIREARMS SALES ARE FINAL. No refunds or exchanges can be honored. Each firearm manufacturer requires that you read their owner’s manual before using.I understand the safe method of operations, handling and care of the above frrearm(s) and acknowledge receipt of above in satisfactory condition.”We were contacted by the customer in regards to the incident spoken of in the complaint, and the customer was advised to bring the rifle in to the store to speak with our firearms supervisor and gunsmith. During the initial meeting with our firearms supervisor and gunsmith, the customer stated that he had previously fired the rifle with factory loaded ammunition, and that the failure occurred on the 10th round fired through the rifle, which was the first round of his hand loaded ammunition in the rifle. He additionally stated that the powder charge loaded into the cartridge case was loaded to the book maximum load stated in his reloading manual, without any prior load development.The [redacted] user manual states the following in the warranty section:“The use of reloaded, handloaded, remanufactured, or other non-standard ammunition voids all warranties, and may cause sever damage to the firearm and serious injury to the shooter or others. Improperly loaded ammunition can be extremely dangerous.”In spite of the above, we agreed to book the rifle into our Gunsmith Service Order system, and ship the rifle to the US Importer for [redacted] rifles, [redacted] USA Corporation of [redacted], Maryland for manufacturer inspection and possible warranty repair or replacement. The customer stated that he wished to have a full refund issued before any determination was made by [redacted] USA, as he no longer felt “safe” with a [redacted] rifle.At this time, I advised the customer that should [redacted] USA find any material defect or determine the failure of the rifle was due to faulty manufacturing, that Gander Mountain would return the replacement firearm (issued by [redacted]) for the full retail value paid at the time of the original sale, thus allowing the customer to purchase a different rifle that he felt safe with.Our Gunsmith, after speaking with [redacted] USA, shipped the rifle to the manufacturer for inspection. At this point, [redacted] USA asked that Gander Mountain step out of line of communication, as they prefer to deal directly with the customer. The customer was informed of this, and agreed that he would stay in contact with [redacted] USA directly.Some weeks after we shipped the rifle to [redacted] USA, the customer resumed contact with our firearms supervisor and gunsmith, stating he was not satisfied with the resolution [redacted] USA offered him. I will include copies of the correspondence [redacted] USA sent to the customer, showing their finding in regards to the failure of the rifle.The customer at this point stated he expected Gander Mountain to apply additional “pressure” to [redacted] USA to replace his rifle, or to have Gander Mountain issue him a refund without a replacement firearm provided by [redacted] USA. I again stated my position that Gander Mountain would issue him a refund for the rifle only upon receipt of a replacement firearm from [redacted] USA. The customer was less than satisfied with my position, but at this point I have already gone well beyond Gander Mountain’s stated policy in regards to the return and refund of firearms.Our goal within this store is to execute customer service to highest possible level. I have no feasible way to satisfy his requests without creating a loss of profitability to my operating unit. Nor do I believe that we haven’t been more than generous to our customer throughout this process, especially considering his inexperience and negligence with improper hand loaded ammunition. Our customer spelled out for us that he fired 9 factory loaded rounds through his rifle without fail, and then he placed his load into the chamber and at this point and time the rifle failed on him causing physical hardship. If this was something that was caused with a direct tie to the store I would be more than happy to assist him, however this falls outside of my scope of liability.

Read Gander Mountain is not obligated to inform you if an item is out of stock when you purchase online. I had to call in and ask about the status of the order. The response was that it out of stock and they did not know when it would be in stock.

The customer service representative said that their policy does not require notification if an item is unavailable or out of stock.

This store is absolutely horrendous. I will never set foot in that establish again and I will make sure that everyone I come in contact with knows of the awful management. [redacted] was as rude as they come. Corporate will be notified of his nasty demeanor and attitude.

Review: I bought a Thompson center rifle online and in the picture of item it show what is call a briged mount and in the product details it said it has 7 things that come with it one of them being a bridge mount when I got my item it did not have one with it I got back online and they had change the picture to a gun that didn't have a bridge mount but it still said in the item detail bridge mount I call the up and ask about it and they said we update the picture that gun does not come with one I call back the next day and talk to someone named who was nice but said could not get his manger at that time but they would call me back that never happen I called at the end of the next day and they just said the gun could have one bought for it but was not include with is so I asked him the it said the gun has 7 parts but I only have 6 so what was the 7th part he said not a bridge mount then u said what is it and he said he did not know and he try saying the the gun could have many different barrels for that could be change with I told I know that why I bought it but he said the bridge mount was like the barrels it could be bought later but the show a pic with the peace on the gun and the listed 7 parts it said all the parts I got with it but the bridge mount which was listed with it so I only got six partsDesired Settlement: I would like to get the bridge mount for the gun if not I would like 150.00 taken of the price of the gun the cost to be able to buy the bridge mount

Review: My husband attempted to purchase a firearm on 9/3/2014 and the process the have for answering the questions required by the government did not allow for the fact that could not read. I understand that the Revdex.com does not deal with the discrimination aspect however the Customer Service Representative was EXTREMELY rude and the attitude was that if he could not read he did not need a firearm. She made him feel extremely stupid and frustrated him a great deal. She did not realize that he has severe learning disability making reading comprehension almost impossible for him to read and basically stopped him from purchasing a firearm he is legally allowed to own. Although this company just lost a rather large sale and future business (We went down the street and completed the purchase there) the representative selling the firearm needs to better understand how to deal with people rather than coping an attitude with a person and making them feel unworthy. I am personally a manager in a customer service department in the finance industry which is also heavily restricted in what we can or cannot do; anyone who deals with the public needs to understand that even if your hands are tied and you personally cannot due something you should at least make the person feel respected.Desired Settlement: I would like for my husband to receive an apology from the store and for the representative to receive some further training in how to deal with difficult situations as apparently she is currently incompetent in doing so. I would also like to see them evaluate the store in how they accommodate individuals who are unable to read in this type of situation.
