This dentist provided me with a treatment plan and cost for teeth whitening and lab-produced porcelain veneers. On the day that I signed the treatment plan, molds were taken for the whitening, and money was collected in full for that portion of the plan. When returning to the office to pick up my whitening trays, the dentist said that the cost that was provided to me on my original treatment plan was incorrect and that it would actually be approximately $2000 more due to a "clerical" error regarding the type of veneer that was costed out. I was provided with a new treatment plan with a new cost estimate. However, the billing code for the veneers on both treatment plans was identical, only the cost changed. I tried to explain to the business that when you have a written contract for services, that they should adhere to it. They refused to adhere to the written agreement so I have broken my relationship with them. I (and my family members) have been at this practice for approximately four years and am disgusted with how they would treat a loyal customer. I would consider this to be a bait and switch tactic that other customers should be aware of.
