Review: Service and Repair Issue--On March 21st 2014 at 10 am, I spoke to the head mechanic of G & A Wrecker Service [redacted]), and showed him the oil hose part that he required me to purchase for the repair of my vehicle[redacted]). The head mechanic stated that the part that I purchased was the correct part to repair my vehicle. Prior to the repair of my truck, the head mechanic quoted me a price to repair with and without the purchase of needed parts-which was $165.00 (with my own parts) and $328 (without parts). The head mechanic instructed another mechanic to repair my vehicle. This mechanic stated that he had difficulty working on [redacted]. This mechanic removed the hose from my vehicle without making sure it was the correct part--as he removed my hose, he tried to install the new hose and THEN realized that it was an incorrect part. He then proceeded to remove the new part and reinstall my old, broken car part. During this time, he found difficulty in replacing my part--causing me to lose all the oil in my vehicle. After several attempts, and the depletion of all of my oil, he then was able to replace my OLD part back on my truck. Once he installed my part back onto my vehicle, he ordered synthetic oil from Advance Auto Parts--which took apx 1 hour to arrive. Also, he installed a half of bottle of my oil. After replacing the oil and having to take a trip to Advance Auto Parts to purchase MORE oil-in attempts to replace the oil he drained from my truck. The head mechanic then, returned after being gone for about 2 hrs,and filled out 2 service receipts. First one: $165.00 and the second for: $288.98. After I complained about the jump in price, the head mechanic stated that this was due to the fact that it was the wrong part, and the hours they worked on it. My complaint is that I paid for a repair that WAS NOT done and oil that was lost due the mechanic's failure to replace the part correctly. The head mechanic misinformed me about the correct part size and replacement charge of oil.Desired Settlement: I would like for this company (G & A Wrecker Service) to refund my charge for the removal and replacement of my own damaged oil coolant hose and the charge for the replacement of the oil that THEY removed from my vehicle. They charge me for replacing my OWN oil, that they intentionally drained. I was present for the entire repair process and witnessed everything that was done. *Note* was charged for 4 hours but the vehicle was worked on for less than that--apx two hours.
