Review: I was verbally quoted $1,200. to $1,400., to partially fill in the pool, at my place of business, with concrete. I agreed to this amount, but told the contractor that I did not wish to spend much more than this. I explained that I had another option, to fix the issue for the same amount or less, and I would go with that option, if his quote was not comparable. He assured me it was, and we agreed to start the work. I was then notified verbally, that the quote would be an additional $700, for a special concrete that was needed. I approved this increase, even though it was more than I wanted to spend. The work was completed, and I was emailed a bill for $7,850. 4 times the original amount quoted. There was never a written bid or contract sent to me or signed.Desired Settlement: I would like the invoice to reflect the amount I agreed to. I do not wish to be unfair, as the work was completed to my satisfaction. I do not however wish to pay 4 times the amount I was quoted, as I made it clear I had other options for fixing the problem.

one and 1/2 times what I was verbally quoted, I find it hard to have any

reasonable person refer to this as revenge.
