In reference to Fusion SEO and the failed response of the company to live up to the agreed upon terms of their service to *** Fusion SEO was hired to help *** increase their business and potential client base through the search engine optimization process. Fusion SEO, in the long term, did not do this and in some cases hurt the company and the foothold that *** already had in the industry. It was agreed with Fusion that this SEO process, in one year, would allow for new client sales for the 2020 selling season and because of their failure, *** has had to hire a new company in October to accomplish this goal. What we thought would have been done over a year ago, still has not happened. Our evidence is placement in google search engines and lack of results in the form of website submissions and visitors. It was in May 2019 that *** believes that Fusion SEO lost members of the team that were specifically assigned to work with *** and that they were not replaced. The dedicated staff we are referring to were the people that *** were directed to speak to and work with as the single points of contact for our account. We did not hear from the dedicated staff after May 7, 2019. When we inquired about the SEO team we were told is that there were people working on the SEO of the *** website and we should not worry. Based upon the analytics of our website, we began to worry because it showed that the traffic (visits) to our website had dropped to levels that were lower than before we hired Fusion SEO.
This claim can be supported from the information that can be taken from the monthly reports that were received from Fusion SEO. In addition *** were paying for per click marketing, through Fusion, and paid google advertisements in July, August, and September and the results do not suggest success in these campaigns. The last time that we had inquired as to why the lack of performance we were basically told we needed to spend more money for more results.

Refund We contacted Fusion SEO in an attempt to come to a mutually acceptable solution and were met with heavy resistance. Fusion's managing partner always wanted to talk on the phone (we told him we preferred email so we had a record of what was being discussed) and never would answer any of our questions with a written response. *** is seeking a refund for the months of May to September for services we paid for but, according to our documentation, didn't receive.
I will try to respond to this complaint with facts and not get personal:
1. I have attached a file of the Google Analytics for *** for all of 2019. The owner of *** has stated that they feel they are entitled to a refund due to the fact that their number of users to their website decreased during the time period of May 2019 - September 2019. The attached file "Analytics All Web Site Data 2019 users XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX.pdf" clearly shows that during the time in question, the actual number of users increased during this time period. I believe The owner of *** is looking at the wrong information - probably, he is signed into the incorrect GA account that was used last year. The decrease occurred a little before May, then recovered and increased until September. The owner of *** canceled with Fusion SEO after that, and then they saw a significant drop in users.
See "Analytics All Web Site Data 2019 users XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX.pdf"
2. I have also attached "sent.pdf," which are the actual emails that we sent to The owner of *** each month from May through September. The reports show the keyword rankings for *** Keyword rankings fluctuate greatly from month to month, but as you can see, we kept them doing well as time went on. I have voluminous details that I'm happy to send you that show these resu***. The emails show the keyword gains and losses.
See "sent.pdf"
3. One more point of reference is attached here as *** 2020 Keyword Rankings.pdf." This shows the current status of the keyword rankings for the keywords The owner of *** asked us to track for him. As you can see, they aren't doing well this year. Now, please understand that the new SEO company may have been told to track different keywords, or they chose different keywords. However, give the keywords The owner of *** asked us to work with; this year is not good.
See "*** 2020 Keyword Rankings.pdf"
4. The owner of *** has chosen to write Fusion SEO a 1 star *** review without even allowing for a response to this Revdex.com complaint or understanding the facts. It is very frustrating. Being in business as long as I have with large corporations like IBM and EMC, I am not really used to seeing a small business do something like this. However, he certainly has the right to express his dismay, but it should have waited until this complaint was resolved
Please let me know if you have any other questions
Thanks
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
In the opinion of *** that Fusion SEO has not responded with true and correct facts. The main reason that *** is seeking a refund is because when *** contacted Fusion SEO the SEO salesperson, Matt ***, promised certain things to *** and that is what sold *** on using Fusion SEO. From the time that the new website was launched (November 2018) until May 2019, the SEO team of Matt *** and Stephanie *** were doing a terrific job and we were seeing the resu*** that we had been promised. It was after May 2019 in which we saw the decline and it is due to the fact that *** no longer had the dedicate SEO team working on the SEO of the *** website. The refund that is being requested is for the months of May 2019 through September 2019, the time in which the team of Matt *** and Stephanie *** stopped all communication with *** and we no longer heard from them regarding the SEO of the *** website. From the time that *** started with Fusion SEO for the SEO of the website with Matt and Stephanie in November 2018, *** paid over $1,000 a month for the services provided by Fusion SEO, and were happy with the services being provided until May 2019. Once we felt that the services we had contracted them for we no longer being provided due to the information that we were able to obtain through our analytics, and we were still paying for those services, is the time period in which *** is requesting a refund.
1. We had attached a copy of the Google Analytics (which we are attaching again) from *** that is a direct contradiction to what Fusion SEO had attached in their response. The Google Analytics account that *** is using is directly linked to the tommygatzent.com website, are specific to our website, and *** are the only ones that have access to that GA account. The Google Analytics document that is provided by Fusion SEO could not be an true analysis of the *** website because it is not authentic. Fusion SEO does not have access to the GA account that was established by tommy Gatz, the owner, and is directly attached to the *** website. The GA document that has been provided by Fusion SEO shows a very different picture than the analytics that had been provided to us directly by Google for our website, tommygatzentertainment.com. *** does not know where the analytics that Fusion SEO is showing and why they are so drastically different from what analysis Google provided to ***. In regards to the statement of *** using the wrong GA account, that is not possible since the account that *** is using is directly linked to the *** website. Examples from our GA include website visitors/traffic was 683 in the month of May 2019 and in November 2019 dropped to 330.
2. There were no emails in the attached documents provided by Fusion SEO.
3. *** began to dispute the work that Fusion SEO was doing when the resu*** we were receiving from the *** account began to drastically differ from the result Fusion SEO was providing and we were able to analyze both sets of data and make specific points of contention. The document that was attached by Fusion SEO was not specific to the months *** is referencing. The document provided by Fusion SEO was for the months of January 2020 to February 2020, which is four months beyond the time that *** had stop working with Fusion SEO. Regarding keyword/search position and ranking, *** had asked to concentrate in the areas of photography and DJ services. Here are three examples of how the search position had dropped during the time we are questioning, and this all comes from the monthly reports sent to *** by Fusion SEO. Annapolis Wedding Photographer - In January 2019, when the website was launched, *** was ranked at 18 in google. In April and May 2019, *** was listed at position 9. In June 2019 *** began to fall to positions 11, 14, 20, and ended at position 22 in September 2019. Maryland Wedding Photographer - In January 2019, *** was listed at position 21 in google. In April *** was ranked at 34 and in May at 23. In August 2019 our ranking was 41 and *** ended at 34 in September 2019 for this keywork search. Baltimore Wedding Photographer - In January 2019, *** was listed in google at position 52. In April, May, and June *** has reached to position 26 in google. In July 2019 *** was positioned at 39 and ended at position 47 in September 2019 for this keywork search. The reports that Fusion SEO sent *** regarding keyword placement are not a true analysis of the keyword position because their reports show an overall increase of ALL keyword/search positions and that may include keyword searches that we were not asking to have a concentration in, but as the above examples show, the areas in which we were asking for advancement did not occur in the time frame we are examining.
4. There were numerous emails, that we are attaching, in which we tried to come to an agreement with Fusion SEO, prior to contacting the Revdex.com. These emails were an attempt by *** to resolve this matter. *** asked that all communications be done by email so that there was a record of the attempted settlement, but Fusion SEO only wanted to discuss things verbally. In the email correspondence, *** had stated that Fusion SEO had left us no choice but to begin to pursue other avenues. After exhausting all of our efforts to try and reach a settlement, we felt that we needed We have attached the emails in which *** attempted to settle this dispute with Fusion SEO.
In closing *** was paying Fusion SEO to provide resu*** though the search engine optimization of the *** website. We trusted that the job that we were paying for was being completed and the services, and resu***, that we were promised from the start of our relationship were being carried out. It was not until Tommy ***, the owner, felt that the services that he was paying for not being rendered. In September 2019 Tommy Gatz used the Google Analytics account, that has always been registered to the website, and discovered that traffic to the website had decreased. It was then at this time that *** began to look at the other points that we have discussed above. During this time, *** attempted to contact Matt *** and Stephanie *** and were informed by *** that they no longer worked for Fusion SEO. This is when *** began to discuss a refund for the services from May 2019 to September 2019. If a small business is paying for services that they are not receiving, it is not unheard of for that company to request to receive a refund for payments made for services not rendered. An SEO company is providing a resu*** based service, and Fusion SEO did not provide resu*** for the time frame that we are discussing. This is where the dispute from *** began with Fusion SEO.
1. the data we used is the GA code that was on the website last year. I have reattached the entire report in binder1.pdf. I combined everything into one file this time.
2. I have attached the complete file with emails again here. It was attached before, but you must not have seen it. binder1.pdf
3. that's incorrect. look at the dates on the emails and the Google report. binder1.pdf
4. yes, there were emails, but they are from 2020, many months after they cancelled with Fusion SEO. they never complained when they received the monthly reports from us from May 2019 through September.
I thought by speaking on the phone with the company, we could come to a mutual satisfactory conclusion. I tried, but was refused to discuss each time.
There was never a promise of a certain result. We send monthly reports each month (which are attached in binder1.pdf) in order for the client to see where they stand. Keyword rankings fluctuate monthly and we tried to keep *** informed of where they stood. The fact that they waited for months to complain, there is little we can do about that.
