Review: After looking for new frames for almost a year I found these that I really liked. The price $630 was a little steep, especially because they dont take insurance, so I needed to be sure. A few weeks later I returned with my parents to try them on. Then, [redacted] from Occhiali came over and said she thinks they might be 50% off (there were no signs). I was so excited. She received confirmation on the price and set them aside so I could call my insurance company during the week to see what they paid out of network since I always had purchased in network and I was quoted 45.00 for reimbursement. The following Saturday my boyfriend went and paid for my glasses and picked them up. At this point to clarify, no one has said to either one of us that this frame is a discontinued style with no warranty. I never even thought to ask, and the paper work I have says the discount was for a marketing promotion. That is definitely not the same thing. But in 20 years this has never mattered, so I didnt think anything of it. The following week I ship my glasses to [redacted] Optics in [redacted]. I have been going there for years and they handle my exams. Once finished, they shipped my glasses right back to me on January [redacted] UPS in a case and a box. They arrived with a broken ear piece.I called Occhiali that morning and spoke to [redacted]. She said to send over the photo, but wasnt sure she could really do anything. ??? They were a discontinued model and they might not have spare parts. She also really didnt think that they could accommodate me because it was not their fault. I explained to her that I never said it was, but they really should stand behind there product. It was a very unfortunate accident and what really happened I really wont ever know. This was also the first time I was hearing about this frame being Discontinued, and that is why I received the discount. This was NEVER mentioned by anyone. Cont...but wont fit.Update2/*/14 Emailed Fusion Eyewear (distributer in U.S. of frames). Was emailed back and told she could refer me to a local store. I replied with my letter and was told had to go to store. Ignored the problem. I said I would be calling Fusion and wanted to speak to a [redacted]. No response again.2/*/14 Called Fusion Eyewear and left a message to call me back regarding the situation. No response as of 2/*/142/*/14 Emailed company directly in [redacted] No response as of 2/*/142/*/14 Dropped off glasses with a UPS driver. They never came to get them.2/*/14 Glasses arrived back at [redacted] and now both ear pieces are broken.2/*/14 Called UPS to follow up. Wont tell me anything. Everything has to be done through [redacted].2/*/14 Filed dispute with CC company.2/*/14 emailed company again in [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like the ear stems replaced for me. This should not happen to any frames. As of 2/*/14 Both ear pieces have broken. Occhiali had originally blamed the lab that put in my lenses and said they can be rough sometimes. Clearly, the product was not made well at the earpiece.
