Our store does nothing but deliver good serviceWe DO NOT, and HAVE NEVER, discriminated toward anyone of any gender, class, creed, or religionConcerning this particular incident, I suppose this is sort of a he said / she said situationOur manager, and the new salesperson that was being trained, have a different version of this storyThey would have been more than willing to carry a piece of furniture in that color to the front window so she could examine it in the sunlight vsour store’s track lightingBut this request was not asked of themThey indicate that the customer wanted our people to open the carton and pull pieces out of the carton to verify color and verify the manufacturer had put the correct thing in the boxWe would have opened the carton for her if she’d purchased it, but not beforehand as we cannot then sell it as newOf course, if at that time something had been wrong, we would have fixed the problemAgain, I don’t know if it was miscommunication at the time, frustration, or a combination of bothI do know that our store manager, Keith, is excellent and we receive many positive comments about his helpfulness and positive attitude toward customersThat’s not to say he’s perfect, nobody isBut I trust his version of what happenedAnd, our customer’s version of the story doesn’t mesh with the other experiences people have had with Keith and what I know of himTherefore, we have two sides of the storyI suppose the truth is somewhere in the middle
