This has now been resolved.  I didn’t think they were going to show up, especially after one no show and when I spoke to them the morning they were supposed to show, I was hung up on.  They showed up yesterday and fixed the furniture in question.  You can remove this complaint.

Review: I contacted Furniture Doctors regarding some pieces of furniture in my home that I wanted refinished. We scheduled an appointment and they showed up on time. I was told that it would cost me $850.00 to refinish 5 pieces of furniture. Although I felt this was expensive, I agreed to the price because I wanted the furniture to be repaired. [redacted] told me they would look as good as new. The result is not even close! I have a dining room table that espresso dark crayon was used to cover some missing veneer instead of replacing it. My maple nightstand had scratches. Although the top was sanded, [redacted] used several different stains to fix the top. It looks terrible, does not look natural and does not match the rest of the pieces I have in my bedroom. The finish coat was not smooth and in certain spots, the coating has pooled from spraying too thick... I sent an email with pictures showing the problem areas and called the company to follow up. They were very apologetic and set up another appointment. They never showed. I contacted them once again and they told me they would be here between 8 and 11am. At 9:18am I called again. Now, I'm told they would come after 1pm. After expressing my dissatisfaction, they hung up on me.Desired Settlement: I either want the furniture finished the right way or I want my money back....

Review: I found this business on Google and they come over right away to my house and look at my recliner and said that we need a new part and it would cost me 250.00. I told them that I could not afford that so they came down to 200.00. I wrote a check for 100.00 which has been cash. The other 100.00 was to be paid upon completion of the job. That was on September 23. On October 23 he came back with the part and it was the wrong part, he came also without his own tools and ask to use my tools. He came back on November 17th and said the same thing that it was the wrong part. In October he told me that it will be fix by thanksgiving but it wasn't. He never show up the day after thanksgiving, so I called him and he hang up on me. I left a message asking to please come back and finish his job. Since then I have not heard from him. the chair is still not fix and I am out of $100.00.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the $100.00
