Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 12, 2015/10/13) */
(The consumer
indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The Fur and Leather Center personnel used their ozone cleaning internally and sent the coat out multiple times last winter and the odor persistedI was without my coat all winter last year and don't want to have another winter without my coatThe ozone cleaning failed to remove the odor
Final Business Response /* (1000, 15, 2015/10/15) */
this garment is here in our storeI just personally checked it and it is beautiful and most relevant to her complaint, odor free
I don't know what you have in mind for mediation, but suggest an objective third party come and see if they can detect any odor
If there was an odor, we fixed the problem

The customer special ordered a garment and included a trade-in which was credited against her purchase price. We obtained the merchandise to...
complete the sale. We also sold the trade-in as we do with trade-in items in the normal course of business, just as if the customer had traded in a car.
The customer now has changed her mind and no longer wants the garment, which is absolutely to her specifications.
We have done everything that was asked of us as a merchant when the customer came into our place of business and placed the order. We have proceeded 100% in good faith and at our expense, procured the exact garment she ordered.
We are not sure why the customer changed her mind. There was mention that she is moving and perhaps the climate where she will move to is not suitable for the garment she ordered. That is not a risk a merchant takes on when they accept and fill a special order. Now the customer wants me to keep a fur garment in August.
We are always fair with our customers and greatly value and in fact depend on our good reputation to thrive and grow. In this case, the customer's request is not at all commercially reasonable or fair to us and therefore we cannot comply.
