The customer in this case did not provide the proper paint code or proper information to aquire the exact paint matchI asked for a vin#
and the number he provided came up as a red color not the bright green he was asking forHe was then shown a color swatch assortment and picked out the color he belived to be the proper colorAfter an extended perior of time I was contacted via *** and informed the color did not matchI told him that without a proper paint code all that could be done was make an educated guess as to the color he was after and I personally feel that all the steps were taken to achieve the best possible outcome without anything to match toAt no time did Mr *** even bring the truck or even a gas door that could be matched up toWhen he asked what could be done when he complained about the color not matching I informed him it was his error and that the standard rate to repaint the flares again and fees would apply*** I expressed the entire time I was asked to paint the flares that I really wanted a proper paint code and even have the truck at my shop for color match purposes and he would not agree to my suggestionHe picked up the painted flares and was happy and paid for them ***
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 11, 2015/07/03) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
He did NOT ask me for a VIN number or paint code or even a fuel door or even the truck *** I never got stuff painted before so I didnt know any better on what autobody shops needed I thought they would have a computer system that they can match with, or even scan the color, ***
